lookwhaticando Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 Stokes takes young player prize Now this I find amusing... because of the picture and the caption. Anthony Stokes shined in the SPL during October I think Anthony Stokes got a shiner in the SPL during October would have been more appropriate.
filbertway Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 Very good I wouldn't mind that stokes coming to us, he gets amazing on fm Great pace and knows where the goal is (on fm) top striker
Joe. Posted 7 November 2006 Posted 7 November 2006 I've just signed him too for Leicester on FM after being promoted via playoffs in first season!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 November 2006 Posted 7 November 2006 Two hat-tricks in successive games. Must be fairly handy.
davieG Posted 7 November 2006 Posted 7 November 2006 Two hat-tricks in successive games. Must be fairly handy. Is that for real or just on FM

shen Posted 8 November 2006 Posted 8 November 2006 *English grammar alert* Isn't it "shone" and not "shined"?
lookwhaticando Posted 9 November 2006 Author Posted 9 November 2006 *English grammar alert* Isn't it "shone" and not "shined"? Both, so the dictionary says. How real that is, I don't know, but my reason for using 'shined' was a (failed) attempt at a pun of sorts. See, that black eye of his could be called a 'shiner' - this is the word I started from and... You know, it just doesn't matter. I'm just not as punny as I thought I was.
