More International Call Ups

Duo Called Up

City duo Paddy McCarthy and Iain Hume have been called up to represent their respective nations next week.

McCarthy has been named in the Republic of Ireland 'B' squad who take on Scotland 'B' at Dalymount Park on Tuesday, November 14th, while Hume has been named in the Canadian party who face Hungary in Budapest on Wednesday, November 15.

The duo join Patrick Kisnorbo, who is also away on international action on Tuesday when Australia take on Ghana at Loftus Road.

All three players will be joining up with their respective nations following Saturday's Championship clash against Plymouth Argyle at the Walkers Stadium.

They can be a decent side, as they showed at the World Cup. Kisnorbo deserves his place and I hope he does well. Does he actually start for them does anybody know?

Don't think he's started for a while.

Last time he went out on duty, he didn't play at all if I recall correctly.

Well done to hume kissa and paddy, hopefully all 3 will get games for their nations.

And about Logan shame he's not had a call for the 21's maybe the next time the internationals are played they would have had a look at him and seen he's going to be irelands best keeper ever :D

Not so sure I'd like to be called up for a "B" side... :unsure:

If you're coming from the U21s it means they're keeping tabs on you for future internationals.

If you're playing from a position in the senior squad, it says "we don't think you're really good enough, but we'll play you anyway just in case we need you to play for the team at some point in the future" ;)

So what is the current situation with Jonathan De Guzman? Is he going to play for Canada or Holland? I'd hope Canada, it would be good see you guys getting a strong team.
