Link Surprised at this i've got to say- ever since the Glazers have taken over they seem to have less money. They have only signed 1 player Carrick and now sign Larsson on loan. They could buy out David Villa's £100M release clause if they wanted but yet sign a 35 year old on loan?

Manwell Pablo Posted 1 December 2006 Posted 1 December 2006 He was fantastic at Barce last seseaon and was asked to stay on by Frank Rijkard. I think it's a fairly good signing for them, cheap as well. As if Man U can afford 100 million I doubt they've got a quarter of that to spare.

Still can't understand why they loaned out Rossi, he would of played more at Man U.

Still, Rossi looks a decent prospect for the future, but the future it will have to be with Ole, Louis, Wayne and Henrik currently on the books

I mean he's constantly injured Saha will hit a ba patch soon and that might be the end of him, i do like him though. Larsson is only on a 3 month loan anyway. Expect a new striker in the summer.

Hey I was just referring to the here and now! Which is precisely why I said Rossi is one for the future Ole will be finished once and for all soon, he can't keep on being miracle man and returning from his injuries. Saha will be decent for the most part of this season, but I think he could struggle at some point and will find it quite difficult next season. Rooney isn't going anywhere - you don't have to be a rocket scientist to work that out. Larsson won't be around for long, and so yes, they will have to either show faith in Rossi, or buy. My guess it they'll buy because Rossi hasn't played regularly and so hasn't shown his capabilities
