Strewth it's wound me up that much I can't read. i didn't know you had a ford, but given enough time i'd figured it out. they're a bloody nightmare to work on! there's nothing worse than workin on your car, in the cold, when things just won't work. did you bash your hand? thats what i normally do <_< re your sparkies have they come out yet?

No, I need a new socket - mine split in the attempt. I'm not going to scrounge one off any family/friends now, I'll get one tomorrow. But I'm really concerned they won't shift.

But I'm really concerned they won't shift. spray them with wd40 1/2 an hour before you have a go, and also do them with the engine hot-ish (don't spray the hot engine with double-you-dee! )

Trouble is now I've shattered the porceline on two so getting the engine hot could be difficult.
