Katy Posted 12 December 2006 Share Posted 12 December 2006 My favourite season would have to be 96/97. I was lucky enough to be able to afford a season ticket and the football under MON was worth every penny. Life was just simpler back then Missed the Wortho cup final at Wembley but me and Stez made it up to Hillsborough for the reply - 'Kin brilliant season. I wish we could have a tiny taste of that again somehow. I love Leicester City F.C! Thats me 10 grand then (unless Mark cocks it up again ) It just had to be in the LCFC bit.though
Guest Gist Posted 12 December 2006 Share Posted 12 December 2006 I've only followed City for the last 3 seasons, so if I had to pick one it would be the first season we came down because of the cup run and we were not as close to relegation. mancunianfox Posted 12 December 2006 Share Posted 12 December 2006 send them back down I'd even tolerate them getting promoted just so we could send them back down. Think they will struggle without Nathan Tyson though.
DB11 Posted 12 December 2006 Share Posted 12 December 2006 My favourite season was 2003 - 2004 Even though we got relegated it was the first time I ever had a season ticket. Also it was like the first time a team had gone unbeaten in the Prem for a long time so for Leicester to be apart of that season feels great. Thracian Posted 12 December 2006 Share Posted 12 December 2006 I loved 1997/8 but 1960/61 was something special as were several of the seasons around that time. I'll never forget the 6-0 win over Manchester United on a Wednesday night. And just look at the results around that time bearing in mind that Tottenham were the League Leaders and opponents to be in a Cup Final but we beat them 3-2 away. Can anyone imagine City beating Chelsea now?. And how about that double over Arsenal? Attacking football - just look at the goals from days when two teams would happily line-up 2-3-5 with the five being at the front end!
