Thracian Posted 16 December 2006 Posted 16 December 2006 She may have changed over the 4/5 years I'd certainly hope so!
francisoneill Posted 13 February 2007 Posted 13 February 2007 Source A TEACHING assistant wept yesterday as she was cleared of having sex with a teenage boy 40 years her junior. Married mum Linda Ginnetta, 54, said her life was a "nightmare" after the boy claimed they had sex up to six times a week from when he was 14. He said they had a two-year affair when Mrs Ginetta worked at Hamilton Community College, Leicester. Mrs Ginnetta, from Leicester, denied eight counts of sexual abuse at the city's crown court. She said: "I treated him like a son, but now I want nothing more to do with him or his family." Good news for her, Cliff & LCFC - apparently it was unanamous 12-0. They should now published the lads name and let him suffer the embarrasment and ridicule. i can empathise with this family as i myself was in exactly the same situation with a young girls false accusations, faced all that Gina Faced until eventually found not guily, and if the Family would like to email me i can say how the 12 years since have been-- [email protected]
Head Honcho Posted 13 February 2007 Posted 13 February 2007 It certainly demonstrates the wisdom of keeping the evidence in camera until a verdict is reached in any criminal case where only one party is having their identity revealed. How the powers that be can suggest that justice is served otherwise is beyond me. It makes a mockery of the very idea that the scales of justice are balanced. You cannot undo the effect of such publicity. I would be very interested to hear the outcome of a civil case for compensation. If the not proven verdict were a correct one it would be hard to put a value on the wrong that's been done. The law in such matters is utterly diabolical in my view and is one reason why I would never contemplate teaching in today's PC world. There doesn't seem much that's correct about the politics of all this. What a pity those who had a hand in bringing the case to court aren't publicly answerable as well. If the jury ended 12-0 how did presumably experienced people come to a conclusion that the charges could be proved? You have to remember that on the day it's just you against 12 jurors. The Prosecution need only find one piece of damning evidence to convince most jurors of your guilt, it's supposed to be the opposite, but unfortunately that is not the case. Again the CPS has tried to score a few brownie points and failed, but they have to be in a position where they can't be accountable for their decisions otherwise who'd do the job. The people who decided to prosecute will have a minor set-back in their careers unfortunately for Mrs Ginetta it will take a lot longer to get her life back on track. Name and shame the accuser! Well I'm not sure, I'd leave that for the judge to decide on an individual basis as all case's and circumstance's are different and should be treated as such.
Daggers Posted 13 February 2007 Posted 13 February 2007 I was accused of assaulting a pupil, some time ago. I was not allowed to know what the allegation was nor talk to anyone at the school. I spent three months suspended from duty with everyone trying to guess what was going on...the amount of people in the village that spoke to me & Bird dropped to two. The allegation turned out to be that I had dragged a little shit by his hair to the Heads office, having stopped him from kicking the crap out of a little kid. The c'nt had a shaved head! He was that thick that him and his bitch-arsed parent couldn't come up with a semi-decent lie! All enquiries were dropped but I had to leave the school forthwith - I'd have murdered him and his fat slag of a mother. I'm all for protecting kids...but there is a line that has been crossed and it now allows ****ers to try to ruin peoples lives. S'not right.
