Master Fox Posted 16 December 2006 Posted 16 December 2006 I've had the worst experience ever trying to get to today’s game! Thought I'd leave nice and early to travel up to the game today and enjoy a nice beer before, but only to discover that while driving up the M1 my rear tyre decides to explode while travelling at 85mph! Get stuck just outside Newport Pagnell services in the hard shoulder to await breakdown assistance because the stupid ****ing garage had supplied me the wrong Nut & Wheel lock leaving me unable to get the wheel off to change the tyre! Now I'm without a car and stuck at home! Rubbish!!!
Cat Burger Posted 16 December 2006 Posted 16 December 2006 I find that in this kind of situation, it always helps to smash something.

davieG Posted 16 December 2006 Posted 16 December 2006 I'd say be grateful you're still alive to go to another game on another day.
Suffolk_fox Posted 16 December 2006 Posted 16 December 2006 kick the cat. And if you don't have a cat, we have 3 to spare (plus 2 that we are looking after) - feel free to PM me with your requirements....
Suffolk_fox Posted 16 December 2006 Posted 16 December 2006 what a great gream you missed  The drunken thread is elsewhere in GC - could this post be moved there??
cisono Posted 16 December 2006 Posted 16 December 2006 I'd say be grateful you're still alive to go to another game on another day. I'd have to agree with davieG. When a tyre exploded in a car my brother was travelling in (at far slower speeds than that), they hit a bridge and my brother sternum was badly damaged, meaning he was in intensive care for two days. He still has a massive scar on his chest going from the top of his breastbone and down into his tummy: the middle line of his chest looks a funny shape (goes outwards, instead of inwards). If he hadn't been 19 at the time, I don't think he'd still be here (quite literally, annoying me by living at my place)...
Smudge Posted 16 December 2006 Posted 16 December 2006 At least you got the link Cheer up it's Christmas!!!
