Craig Posted 19 December 2006 Posted 19 December 2006 I was looking forwards to seeing at least one of two of the games involving smaller opposition, only to find out that they're showing Liverpool vs Arsenal and Newcastle vs Chelsea. What's the point, they've already shown these games in the premiership this season and they'l probably show them again before the end. Why not put a game like Charlton vs Wycombe on? A lower league side in the quaters for the first time in 30 years vs a side that can't win for love nor money. Huge potential for a giant killing. As there is in the Spurs vs Southend game. Pathetic, sort it out.

Don't see the point in showing Newcastle Chelsea though.
Craig Posted 19 December 2006 Author Posted 19 December 2006 Infact, BBC are showing Liverpool vs Arsenal in the FA Cup too aren't they. It'l be a good game, but it's just boring when you have to watch the same matchup so many times a season. Then again... Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez wants to rest players but is also wary of jeopardising the club's chances of reaching the Carling Cup semi-finals.Daniel Agger, Fabio Aurelio, Luis Garcia, Peter Crouch and Robbie Fowler will all expect to figure. Arsenal will ring the changes and give their youngsters a chance to shine.
Joe. Posted 19 December 2006 Posted 19 December 2006 Hmmm Charlton vs Wycombe or Liverpool vs Arsenal? I know which one I'd want to watch...
Maybes Posted 19 December 2006 Posted 19 December 2006 Hmmm Charlton vs Wycombe or Liverpool vs Arsenal? I know which one I'd want to watch... yeah same here. Id rather watch arsenal
Wils Posted 19 December 2006 Posted 19 December 2006 yeah same here. Id rather watch arsenal What you trying to say Maybury,Something wrong with Wycombe is there?
Manwell Pablo Posted 19 December 2006 Posted 19 December 2006 What you trying to say Maybury,Something wrong with Wycombe is there? Yes they're shit, all though the fact Tommy Mooney played for them balances that out.

It'l be a good game, but it's just boring when you have to watch the same matchup so many times a season. Then again... It reminds me of Liverpool v Chelsea for the past 3 seasons. Liverpool v Arsenal will probably be a good game, but Liverpool IMO are on televison too much. However, Try the Liv v Arse and Charlton v Wycombe game please, Sky.
lildave3 Posted 19 December 2006 Posted 19 December 2006 Pitch inspection at Anfield at 6.10. Cambridge v Stafford has already been called off. Shame, i was looking forward to it aswell
Brummie-FOX Posted 19 December 2006 Posted 19 December 2006 What a shame What do they usually do if a live match has been cancelled?
Craig Posted 19 December 2006 Author Posted 19 December 2006 What a shame What do they usually do if a live match has been cancelled? Hopefully stick Wycombe on
Brummie-FOX Posted 19 December 2006 Posted 19 December 2006 Hope so. Ive had SSN on most of the day and everytimethey have previewed the Charlton Wycombe game, they've always gone back and shown Leicester v Wycombe
Joe. Posted 19 December 2006 Posted 19 December 2006 What will they being showing now then? Ha ha they're stuck now! They won't be happy It's such an inconvenience for Arsenal and Liverpool. Damn.
Brummie-FOX Posted 19 December 2006 Posted 19 December 2006 Don't they usually just show highlights of the round so far, and just talk about the two clubs and the other fixtures?
Filbert_Ross Posted 19 December 2006 Posted 19 December 2006 la liga is being shown at 9, not sure if that was gonna be on anyway.
Manwell Pablo Posted 19 December 2006 Posted 19 December 2006 Wish I'd checked to see if the game was on before going down the pub to watch it....
Craig Posted 19 December 2006 Author Posted 19 December 2006 Obviously i was wrong in my assumption that Charlton vs Wycombe had the potential for a shock, and Liverpool vs Arse would be boring. Live: Charlton 0-1 Wycombe
Joe. Posted 19 December 2006 Posted 19 December 2006 Obviously i was wrong in my assumption that Charlton vs Wycombe had the potential for a shock, and Liverpool vs Arse would be boring. G'won Wycombe!

To be fair to Sky, they actually picked a decent one for that (Cardiff v Tottenham)
Daggers Posted 19 December 2006 Posted 19 December 2006 Wish I'd checked to see if the game was on before going down the pub to watch it.... ...because being stuck in a pub with nothing to do but drink would be hell, eh?
