Samilktray Posted 18 October 2008 Posted 18 October 2008 Bullard. what a legend. That was brilliant. Man on man action.
syston_fox Posted 18 October 2008 Posted 18 October 2008 That MOTD was sponsored by Fulham's woodwork. How unlucky can Richardson get?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 October 2008 Posted 18 October 2008 "And, er, Everton haven't won on this ground since, er, 1996." You'd think not Motson.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 October 2008 Posted 18 October 2008 Arsenal are still doing that name thing, where the crowd shout the surname. That will never ever ever work. Hate that idea. If you'd ever been to / watched a Bundesliga match you'd know you're severely, severely wrong.
Tilley Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 In Tevez's words... Liverpool are on it this season.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 It's official. There is nothing funnier than watching Spurs, Ramos and Levy lose, and seeing Jol and Hamburg winning.
syston_fox Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 That MOTD2 was sponsored by Fulham's Tottenham's woodwork. How unlucky can Richardson Fuller get?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 I hope that, one day, we will see an episode of MOTD 2 where Adrian Chiles doesn't moan about how hard life is as a West Brom fan. Oh, and Randy Learner is a fantastic chairman.
lcfc_jme Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 The thing that struck me most about MOTD tonight was the fact that a year ago, Hull were one place below Leicester in the Championship, sitting in 18th after 11 games. And now, we're in League One but they're 3rd in the Premiership. Talk about contrasting fortunes!

lcfc_jme Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 That's what I thought when I saw that table as well. Then I cried. To be honest, I'd have been the same had I not laughed (a lot) in sheer disbelief.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 To be honest, I'd have been the same had I not laughed (a lot) in sheer disbelief. . I'm surprised they didn't mention it on the show, just to emphasise how well Hull have done.
lcfc_jme Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 .I'm surprised they didn't mention it on the show, just to emphasise how well Hull have done. I was half expecting it once they put the table up, but then I thought to myself "half of the people who watch MOTD won't even know who Leicester City or the rest of the teams on the screen are, so why the hell would they mention it??". Seems as though they felt the same. Sad state of affairs. That's not to take anything away from Hull though who have done extremely well to be where they are. I can half stomach that. Unlike Stoke being in the Premiership and winning. I hate Stoke. <_<

To be honest, I'm not that fussed whether Hull stay up or not, and if Spurs have a sh!t season then great because their fans need bringing back to reality. If Stoke stay up though - which I'm seriously hoping they don't - then football has gone mad. I would absolutely love them to come straight back down. Their fans don't deserve to be living it large up there. Nor does a team which plays their brand of football.

lcfc_jme Posted 19 October 2008 Posted 19 October 2008 Stoke .Hopefully Spurs as well . Reckon Hull will finish around 15th/16th/17th. Stoke have to go down. It just has to happen. Them being in the Premiership is tragic. Couldn't actually care less where Spurs ended up finishing. Their fans are always going to moan about how they should be pushing the top 4, they're always going to **** a manager in the arse and they're never going to get it right. Same old story at Spurs all the time. Hull seem as though they will be another Reading I feel, as in it seems they'll do ok for a couple of seasons but it'll only end up fading away and see them slide. Though to be fair, they do have a huge potential fanbase, which is obviously going to lead to a much more increased scope for investment...
potter3 Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 I'd quite like the bottom three to stay as it is come the end of the season.
