davieG Posted 6 January 2005 Posted 6 January 2005 Peter Reid has parted company with Coventry City. The former Sunderland boss has left the club with immediate effect. The club have released a statement that the decision was by mutual consent and that Reid's assistant Adrian Heath would take over first team affairs in the interim. "Peter Reid and Coventry City Football Club have parted company by mutual consent," reads the statement. "Adrian Heath will be in charge for Saturday's FA Cup tie with Crewe." Reid has suffered a torrid time since being appointed at the club in May - losing 13 times and drawing eight of his 31 games in charge. The clubs supporters had championed Eric Black before Reid's appointment, and the former Everton star never truly won them over. Reid insisted this week that he would not resign as manager, but it appears that he has decided his future lies elsewhere, and Coventry will now look to appoint a new boss. Reid's last game in charge saw Coventry beaten 2-1 by Leeds United.
Scow Posted 6 January 2005 Posted 6 January 2005 Coventry and Forest to be relegated? Oh yes... They must have been a poor side if we scored 3 goals past them without reply at home.
Steven Posted 6 January 2005 Posted 6 January 2005 Can anyone remember MA saying this Adams ended up at Leicester where he spent three years before leaving what he described as a "hell-hole".
Collymore Posted 6 January 2005 Posted 6 January 2005 Can anyone remember MA saying this Adams ended up at Leicester where he spent three years before leaving what he described as a "hell-hole". 52370[/snapback] Can't remember him saying that but wouldn't be suprise if it was some Coventry spin to get at us.
Anish Posted 6 January 2005 Posted 6 January 2005 He's been rubbish ever since he kept Leeds up in the Premiership. Remember it was his team that got thrashed 4-0 by Leicester in the Premiership!
