luffbra Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Did we act too quickly in terminating his contract??? I'm watching Yeovil - Huddersfield at the moment (not a high level game I know), but along with his team mates, he's ripping them apart ... He's looking sharp and just scored a cracking goal!

Its sods law basically. I didn't think he was a bad signing when Adams signed him, he was just never off the damn treatment table! I'm sure he'll be able to show, if he can stay injury free that he is capable of playing Championship football.

No need for Low if Morris were fit. As you say, Sods Law.

lookwhaticando Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 I'm gutted! I um'd and ah'd about having him for 1st scorer but went for Best instead Whoops. Don't worry, chances are he'll get crocked soon.
Jimmy Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 we didnt terminate his contract, it expired and wasnt renewed
Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 On the other hand, he could have found his level. The voice of reason, she speaketh! Je agree.
Simon Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 On the other hand, he could have found his level. I'm willing to wager that, if he can stay injury free, he'll be playing in the Championship in the not to distant future.
The Stig Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 I thought he still had some left on his contract, anyway right form when he first left i said we should have sent him out on loan to get him some experience. Sorry RK but it was a bad descision letting him go
Joe. Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 I'm not entirely sure to be honest. Can you honestly say yourself that you were bothered when his contract was terminated at the time? It's only because he's finally fit and playing well that we all think it was a bad idea. He was always injured and we were just paying pointless wages so it wasn't a bad decision in my view.
breadandcheese Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Sometimes a player's stay just doesn't work out at a particular club. Happy when Morris left. Just didn't run for him here. If he can stay injury free, he can be a useful player, but just remember that at one point he was our most senior and longest serving first team player, yet very few had ever seen him.
LCFCIMPS Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Good finish from him but it could and should of been 6/7-0 Yeovil at half-time. Hudds played abit better 2nd half or did Yeovil just feel for hudds, let hudds back into the match. Great finish by ex-imp Gary Taylor-Fletcher. I claped it.
lcfc_jme Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 Morris was wank for us. Basically because he was never really fit enough to show what he could do. Though I agree with Lisa when she says that he could well have found his level finally. Chances are he'll be on the treatment table until the end of the season in the not too distant future anyway.
Manwell Pablo Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 On the other hand, he could have found his level. well IMO he's a once 3 million pound player we took a gamble on and it didn't pay off. Maybe we weren't patient enough. He's proven at our level, given a bit of first team action he might turn all of our mocking comments back on us next season if that excellent Yeovil team I saw tonight get the promotion they deserve. Tonights performance is down to one man, Russel Slade, a man I have already said should be manager of this club if and when Rob Kelly is proven to be not good enough.
Thracian Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 It's crystal ball gazing. I always thought he looked positive when he played on occasions for the reserves but he was never fit. Amazing how he's been fit since his move. Always looked a better bet than Low or Sylla ability wise but it would have been a brave manager who gave him a new deal after the service we had from him.
