I bet the Philly game was quite good. Shame they lost but after last season and events in the greater scheme of things you can't begrudge New Orleans a shot at a Superbowl. New England-San Diego should be a great game tonight.
Alexikokopops Posted 14 January 2007 Posted 14 January 2007 I wish I didn't have all this bastard work to be done so I could stay up and watch 'em. Wednesday can't come quick enough.
Lord Nibblington Posted 15 January 2007 Posted 15 January 2007 Who you following Daz? The Colts... right? I can't help but like the Pats, because of the fact that Bill Belicheck has made a team that doesn't really have any superstars, bar Brady these days, and made them consistantly good. However, I wouldn't mind if the Bears or the Saints won it, really. Anyone but the Colts. I don't like Manning. He's vastly overrated based on the fact he puts up big regular season numbers due to the fact that's how the entire team is set up, and then he consistantly chokes in the playoffs, because he's not actually that good. However, that being said, his performance against New England earlier this year was suprisingly good. So maybe he's not going to bottle it again. But t'would be funny if he did.
The Man Who Would Be King Posted 15 January 2007 Posted 15 January 2007 agreed. I think manning will choke once again, not because of the stage he is on, or that he isn't talented, but because the Pats play 3-4 defence and manning is quite easily confused against 3-4, which will lead to him playing badly and if that happens the colts are fooked! Plus Brady is a winner and i have a feeling he will be getting his 4th superbowl ring this year. I really hope the saints can get to the big game though, would be a great story. plus they have played some awesome stuff. And the chicago defence is not looking the force it was at the start of the season. If the NO offence gets it going i think they can win this one. Especially with the inconsistancy of the chicago offence. My predictions for next week: Colts 24 - 28 Pats Bears 14 - 17 Saints
lcfc_jme Posted 15 January 2007 Posted 15 January 2007 Come on the Patriots :D Good game last night Onwards to the Superbowl

Based on my non-existent (pretend) knowledge, I'm going to assure you that this is Manning's (and by extension the Colts') year!
Lord Nibblington Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 Based on my non-existent (pretend) knowledge, I'm going to assure you that this is Manning's (and by extension the Colts') year! Boo! Hiss! Also, I feel it's rather annoying that Superbowl Sunday is the week before half term. Otherwise I could've watched it and then stayed in bed all day, and not have to go into work feeling like crap!
MC Prussian Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 Just hand the trophy to New Orleans so we can get over with it!

Lord Nibblington Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 Take a day off work. Fezz has. I probably will. Does depend on who is actually playing though. Wish I could see Manning's traditional January meltdown this weekend though!
MC Prussian Posted 21 January 2007 Posted 21 January 2007 Sad to say it, but New Orleans won't make it. Chicago up 32-14 now.
MC Prussian Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 Supberbowl XXXXI? Chicago vs. Indianapolis it is now.
The People's Hero Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 Supberbowl XXXXI? Chicago vs. Indianapolis it is now. GOOOOO COLTS!!!
lcfc_jme Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 Well I was rooting for the Patriots to go all the way, but sadly it was not to be. The Colts were just too good when all was said and done Still, t'was a good game and we didn't exactly play badly. Think I shall be going for the Colts to win the Superbowl now though seeing as they eliminated my team

However, Rex Grossman is clearly going to crap his pants when he plays the game, so I've got a horrible feeling that Manning's going to win. And everyone is going to be gushing all over him. Ick
Clarence Posted 24 January 2007 Posted 24 January 2007 Just glad the Patriots got beat after what they did to the Raiders a couple of years ago. After watching the speeches though after the game the only winner of the Superbowl is gonna be GOD. Both sides must have him on there side coz you know for sure there gonna thank him at the end.

You mean the Tuck Rule game? Whereby they followed the, what do you call it.... rules?
Clarence Posted 25 January 2007 Posted 25 January 2007 You mean the Tuck Rule game? Whereby they followed the, what do you call it.... rules? Seems after the Patriots dominance over the past 5 years I detect a little sarcasm in defeat but then what do I know by liking the dirtiest and worst team in the NFL. Never mind . Always next year.
