Realistic Transfer Targets

We aint got any cash.

As we all know we aint the team we used to be but, CL seems to be changing MA squad bit by bit.

Getting wages OFF the books is what is his priority.

So given this, who would you like to show the door and who would you like to see.

I'd get rid of Gemmil and Gudjohnnson. Both aint cutting it.

I'd try for some Taylor or O'neil from POMPEY or Rohan Ricketts at Spurs (all on loan)

CL has said that he wants to bolster the squad by the end of the month.

OUT: Makin , Gemmil , Scowcroft

IN:Kirk , Ricketts , S.Moore

Loans are pointless short term fixes. CL would only go for them to cover injuries IMO, he is trying to build a team spirit so players fight for the club not just to impress possible buyers.

The fact is we will once again have almost bugger all to spend in the summer, so lots of scottish bosmans are the most likely.

We will have more than this season to spend. Premiership parachute payments. Elliot, Benjamin, Scowy, Walker all off the wage bill. and also the likes of Dublin, Gemmil, Wilcox, Keown, Pressman, Blake, Makin all hopefully gone.

Mcgready! ;) loan him. i know loans r not everyones favorite but hes abit like partridge and i dont think he will be able to hold down a permanant place in celtics side. surely martin cud do us a little favorite for old times sake a!

Very true that loans are not the best option when trying to create a team for the future. And if spurs have any sense they won't wanna sell Rohan Ricketts (certainly not for an affordable price). Same goes for O'Neill. But to be honest there aren't many options at the moment with the financial status. If we were to buy someone I'd like to see a MON type signing ie a cheap lower league player who can cut it (Lennon, Savage, Elliot etc). I believe this was MON's best skill oh and getting the best out of them :)

Don't count on it!! The parachute payments finish at the end of next season. We can't go out buy loads of players on long contracts because after next season our budget will be slashed by around 5million!

I must say I am confused to see some giving Gudjohnsson a hard time, of late i felt he was steadily improving all the time. Now Williams is starting to fire on all cylinders, I am looking to Gudjohnsson to fill the gaps behind the marauding Williams runs....

Welcome to the forum, good first post.

Scowcroft has been poor for the last 6 or so games, and looks to have other things on his mind. His first touch and passing hasn't been up to scratch, and he's not had many attempts on goal since moving upfront. I would like to see him go now, but I can't believe a Premiership club(s) would want a non scoring Championship quality striker.

Cheers Scowy, Nice to find a Foxes forum.

And I agree that Scowcroft hasn't been his best at all recently, he does seem to have a lot on his mind and in a way it has been surprising to me about his lack of form. I did expect him to prove to Craig that he was a striker and a starting 11 striker by netting a few goals and giving some great performances - seeing as he prefers the strikers role to the right side. I imagine he has probably become disillusioned with life at the Walkers recently, as the team aren't currently in the position expected of them last August and can't seem to get a decent run of results together. It must be difficult for players in general to play for a club which one year was in the Premiership and the next is mid-table in the Championship.

Welcome TAFKA,

Re your ref to Walker and Scowcroft, they hardly fit your criteria of young and passionate, well certainly not passionate.

It's alright players getting disillusioned with life in this division, but players like Scarecrow have only themselves to blame, they were part of the set up that got us relegated, and should be performing better to get us out, not moping about it!

Hello by the way :wave::thumbup:
