Trumpet Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 Funnily enough, on xbox live today, i heard whilst shagging an irish bird, 2 minutes into the session youll be called a f***ing legend. Thats how one gentleman made his live tag, you know. So yeah, some irish birds - and if possible bring some back!
The People's Hero Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 I'm going there for the weekend. Anyone been? if so, what do you recommend seeing/doing? Drinking is the traditional pursuit. I've heard it said it's all there is to do there, but I very much doubt that's true. There must be a Guinness brewery you can tour. Or something. Or not.
Geo V Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 I'm going there for the weekend. Anyone been? if so, what do you recommend seeing/doing? We were speaking about Ireland the other day mate. http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=31899
Chairman of the Bored Posted 29 January 2007 Posted 29 January 2007 Visit O'Connell Street (you can hardly miss it) and observe the bullet holes in the walls left there as a result of the Uprising. Steer clear of the Liffy cos it pen and inks but do get into Temple Bar. Not as raucous as it used to be but a fine night out for sure. Check out Whelan's for live bands and then if you're not all out with the place I'd recommend the Irish Literary Museum. PS The "Stiffy by the Liffy" is a monument worth seeing. And you might want to check out some of the outer lying estates to ee some real Irish working class. By the time you read this you've probably returned. How was it?
potter3 Posted 29 January 2007 Posted 29 January 2007 I went, but only for about an hour because we had to go, there is a Guiness brewery, and I do beleive they give free beer out Not sure how much though

I would recommend it to anyone. beer was very expensive though but you'd expect that in a capital city. I went to temple bar and the guinness tour which was cool. Also went on a trip to where ballykissangel was filmed (never watched it myself) but lovely countryside all the same.
cisono Posted 29 January 2007 Posted 29 January 2007 Every time I see this thread I think it's about Dion!
