Wils Posted 1 February 2007 Posted 1 February 2007 With easy jet alot depends on what time you want to fly,Late night/Early morning flights tend to be quite a bit cheaper.
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 February 2007 Posted 1 February 2007 even the cheapflights websites like easyjet etc really arent cheap anymore...... this is annoying as hell Where you going?
James. Posted 1 February 2007 Posted 1 February 2007 ryanair are doing 'only pay the tax' type deals at the minute. just a shame the tax is actually well expensive. i'm taking the ball and chain to paris in a couple of weeks and as i'm a true romantic with a penchant for the high life we're getting the eurolines coach there and back. £30 each, bargain!!

Trumpet Posted 1 February 2007 Posted 1 February 2007 i'm sure the cypriots agree. Umm, im sure they probably do... Tourism = more jobs, no tourism = ?
James. Posted 1 February 2007 Posted 1 February 2007 Umm, im sure they probably do... Tourism = more jobs, no tourism = ? yes but there's a difference between tourism and an invasion by a load of chavs causing trouble, singing 'i love you baby' 35 times a night, sh&gging the STD herd of beetroot skinned women and generally acting like wankers. i personally wouldn't touch the place with a barge pole.

Chavs / Non- Chav - its toruism. Sounds like you stayed in the wrong hotel? Ask any Cypriot who lives in ayia napa if they care about it - they dont, theyre either taxi drivers / shop owners who make big $.
Lord Nibblington Posted 1 February 2007 Posted 1 February 2007 Chavs / Non- Chav - its toruism. Sounds like you stayed in the wrong hotel? Ask any Cypriot who lives in ayia napa if they care about it - they dont, theyre either taxi drivers / shop owners who make big $. The one's making money from it won't really object. That's hardly rocket science. Try speaking to other Cypriots who aren't the ones racking in the cash if they mind. I think you'll get a different answer.

Try speaking to other Cypriots who aren't the ones racking in the cash if they mind. I think you'll get a different answer. That'd actually be quite hard, because Ayia Napa is mainly a resort, most of the "locals" there are the ones raking in the cash. Most of the Cypriots that would object would be situated on the outskirts / in the countryside. And tbh, loads of locals go intio napa on weekdays for the bars / clubs.

"the cypriots don't mind me pissing in their streets, i pay their fooking wages" etc etc still, no one is forcing me to go there. and if that's your bag then fair enough. just a shame that more often than not we have the dregs of society representing us and carving out our reputation abroad.
JoeyB Posted 1 February 2007 Posted 1 February 2007 even the cheapflights websites like easyjet etc really arent cheap anymore...... this is annoying as hell you just have to book a year in advance to get them cheap. its also because the goverment are charging high taxes
