I think it's time for a thread about this rather amazing band.

Please leave this thread to the fans and not churn out the usual 'depressing' etc insults.

Fave album? Song? Member? I don't know, whatever you like about them. ;)

Nothing wrong with a Radiothread (sorry)

Favourite album - probably OK Computer. Some of those songs are absolutely legendary - Airbag, Paranoid Android, Lucky (beautiful), Karma Police, etc.

Favourite song - possibly Lucky, not forgetting High and Dry, Street Spirit and other classics off The Bends/Pablo Honey.

Kid A has some belters as well but I see that album as more like one piece of music where all the songs really compliment each other and need to be listened to together.

Only seen them once - in Cardiff. Fantastic experience.

Bestest band in the world ever ever ever.

No but seriously it depends why you like music I guess. Some people like anything that makes their foot tap, some people want wry, witty lyrics. Some people like haunting synth, some like crashing guitars. Some like gruff lyrics, some tender lyrics, some lyrics that sound like a very large man trying to cough up copious amounts of phlegm.

Me, I like to cut myself.

WAIT SORRY NO.

What I MEANT to say was that Radiohead work on so many levels, sometimes within the same track, and have such a lot of different but similar stuff that it's pretty hard not to be in the mood to listen to SOMETHING they've done.

They also, up until their most recent album, had the most consistantly superb B-sides of any band possibly ever. What other band would release 'Polyethylene' as a B-side?

NONE, that's who.

My favourite album is Amnesiac. Unfortunately I lent it out to a friend some time ago and haven't seen it since. Annoying.

I don't know what my favourite song is, maybe Idioteque or Like Spinning Plates (the version on the Live EP is excellent too).

The piano one? T'is indeed.

I love that version of The National Anthem too. Faster, distorted bass. Shame about the lack of brass.

The Bends, Ok Computer and Kid A are brilliant. I'll probleh get Amnesiac next. Don't know whether to bother with Pablo Honey but I'll get HTTT too.

Fave songs are probably The Bends, Fake Plastic Trees, Black Star, Let Down, Electioneering, Lucky, Idioteque and Kid A.

Not many then, but I literally do love every song I've heard from them. Except Creep. :P

I prefer the original.

Ouch. That pun was painful and made little sense. 2/10.

Sticking to the topic, best B-sides are:

Coke Babies

Maquiladora

Killer Cars (is on the japanese version of The Bends, too)

Banana Co

Polyethylene (best?)

How I made my Millions

Fog

Gagging Order

There's probably about 40-50 proper good ones, literally. These are the bestest, though.
