Geo V Posted 26 March 2007 Posted 26 March 2007 Not been to good for you then?!?! I almost feel to blame for the debacle at Pakistan.

For example, NZ have taken the two points they got for beating England in the first group.

Geo V Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 I dont get why they are not all going to play each other in the super 8s. I heard that sides like England are playing both surprise super 8 qualifiers Ireland and Bangladesh but some other nations like South Africa arent?! Im not complaining as it should be easy points for England but it seems a little unfair.

I don't know anything but i just assumed that's what would happen
Joe. Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 Don't they play everyone apart from the team from their group? I don't know anything but i just assumed that's what would happen Yeah that's right. So we play everyone left in the Super 8's except for new Zealand. Then the top 4 go through to the semis, 1st playing 4th and 2nd playing 3rd.
Milky Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 Malinga got 4 wickets in 4 balls for Sri Lanka tonight. SA only needed about 5 to win with 5 wickets left, then the Malinga magic kicked in, but SA just creeped over the line.

His bowling action is so stupid, I'm not quite sure how he's allowed to do it. He gets hit a lot but also gets wickets generally.... But 4 wickets with 4 balls is something special

isaidno Posted 29 March 2007 Author Posted 29 March 2007 I watched the end last night. South Africa made a mountain out of a mole hill.
Flexx Posted 29 March 2007 Posted 29 March 2007 He was inches away from getting the 5th in a row aswell, So unlucky
lcfc_jme Posted 29 March 2007 Posted 29 March 2007 Malinga has a very strange bowling action. It winds me up as it does look as though he has an unfair advantage when generating pace. 4 wickets in 4 balls is absolutely awesome bowling, and I actually thought the way he was bowling that he'd have cleaned the last man up and won the game for Sri Lanka. Brilliant finale to the game. South Africa did deserve to win it though.
The People's Hero Posted 29 March 2007 Posted 29 March 2007 Malinga's action irritates me. He's a very dangerous bowler mind. I try to bowl like that at nets and repeatedly hurt myself.

Simi Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 Glenn McGrath has said Aus will win so we can stop this now.
00rawat Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 Glenn McGrath has said Aus will win so we can stop this now. Well he is right what with the big hitting totals I think they have another World Cup wraped up.
lildave3 Posted 30 March 2007 Posted 30 March 2007 Glenn McGrath has said Aus will win so we can stop this now. I'd imagine they will, they're just so damn good
lcfc_jme Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 Glenn McGrath has said Aus will win so we can stop this now. I think he may well be right. Although I'd fancy South Africa to run them extremely close. I reckon they'd have beaten Australia in the group stage had Smith not retired hurt when he was well set.
Joe. Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 Ireland hammered by New Zealand earlier... All out for 134 I think
