Daggers Posted 12 February 2007 Posted 12 February 2007 "It is essential that we get ex-addicts who have been to Hell and back to counsel kids in schools..." I don't care about his smoking habits at school ~ I just find it sad that there is no opposition to the Government beyond this accident prone soundbite kid.
cisono Posted 12 February 2007 Posted 12 February 2007 British politics!!! This would not even make the news in other countries...
Daggers Posted 12 February 2007 Author Posted 12 February 2007 British politics!!! This would not even make the news in other countries... That's right - in France they'd be talking about who he has done it with, in Italy they'd want to know who he had done in and in Germany they would just want to know it had been done correctly in line with official directives
Leonisco Posted 12 February 2007 Posted 12 February 2007 Of course the fact that he's taken drugs shouldn't bar him from being PM - him being a total twat can do that!
Thracian Posted 12 February 2007 Posted 12 February 2007 If that's the worst we've got to worry about ....! With all the serious things wrong in our world it's verging on the indecent to even consider that as worthy of being a story - let alone print it. And as one who knows exactly what journalists are capable of at college and in their leisure time, it is also the height of hypocrisy. There are very few saints in the world and if we've waiting for one to turn up at a potential PM we'll wait a bloody long time. I've never been into drugs at all but I'd be far more concerned if we had a potential PM who'd never done anything but be a good little boy at school than I am about a guy enjoying a bit of recreational weed.
Scarby Posted 12 February 2007 Posted 12 February 2007 there is only one more thing more boring than this bloody story and thats the MM saga!

Saints don't go into politics, so we'll never have a perfect candidate for leader of the country.
Strokes Posted 13 February 2007 Posted 13 February 2007 TBH, it may be an experience that serves him well within the job. I would think 90% of people on this forum have had some form of dealings with cannabis, thats possibly something they may be able to relate to the bloke. Maybe not who knows. I'm not a fan of the man myself, i don't think he offers anything different from Blair and i think he will make exactly the same mistakes.
Master Fox Posted 13 February 2007 Posted 13 February 2007 Who cares if he smoked some dope. It's probably the only interesting thing about him
