I thought Berbatov would be a flop in the Premiership and Kuyt too. Didn't think they'd adapt but they've managed to. Their first touch and general ball control has been top notch. I've seen both of them control lofted balls towards them with ease and it's not an easy thing to do. Quick mention for Andrew Johnson though who I think should have contributed more for Palace at times last season but has stepped back up to Premiership level and has caused problems. He gets criticised for his diving antics, but it's a skill that he's perfected and has won penalties for Everton on a regular basis this season. Not one of the top three but worthy of a mention imo.

could you count loans, in this or not?

because if you do

Ben Foster to Watford

that has to be one of the best this season

20 out of 10 for that one

Is this the same Ben Foster who's let in 40 goals this season?

I know you can't blame him for all the goals and he played well against tier two opposition last night but come on be realistic he's a good prospect and he's getting first team football but he sure as hell ain't the best signing of the season.

You can't give a player who plays for Watford, a team about to be relegated sitting in 19th place in the Premiership a 20/10 ( ) for his part in this season. No doubt he's a good player but has he made much difference to woeful Watford?

He's been ok but still let in a lot of goals and they are in the relegation zone. <_<

Foster is the entire reason that Watford have the slightest chance of staying up. Without him they'd probably have about 2 points. Just cause he's not quite a one man army doesn't mean he's not doing well

Out of the poll though, I'd go with Martins - both him and Berbatov have been good, but he's made the biggest difference. Although to be fair, a suprisingly decent signing is Antoine Sibierski. OK, he's not actually good, but he's been pretty useful for Newcastle, his little flick against AZ was disturbingly skillful.

Berbatov, Martins then McCarthy.

Quoted for Emphasis.

To the people saying Ben Foster is only alright, watch him play. His effect on a very, very poor Watford team is phenomenal, and the person who said they'd have about 2 points without him was quite right. I wouldn't say he was a new signing this season though, and even if he was he's not in the top 5, but you can't say he's "done alright but has let a lot of goals in", the mans having to be on his toes for a full ninety minutes.

berbatov makes the game look so so simple he was £10m or so. IMO McCarthy has done better as he has scoed more and was cheaper he gets my vote
