James. Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 Right I'm hoping that the technology-savvy Foxestalk crew can sort me out with the answer to the following problem... I have a Dell laptop (only a few months old) and want to connect it to my TV through the Scart (AV) socket so I can watch DivX films. What do I do? Muchos Gracius James EDIT: before anyone says it I HAVE looked around the internet for the answer but it's a f**king minefield out there of different solutions and general confusion hence my quest for the simple answer starting on these hallowed pages!

Dr The Singh Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 He wants a SCART connection though. You can buy s-video to scart adapters\leads: http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables...eads/op=eq.html Basically, there are adapters on the market to encorporate s-video to scart!!! Beware, make sure you buy the correct type, eg female or male s-video to scart etc

Deathside Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 If you want a really decent picture you're better off connecting via VGA (Assuming you have a panel with a VGA port)
Dr The Singh Posted 16 April 2007 Posted 16 April 2007 ALdi are doing a scart kit(@£3.99, which looks as though it has all the cables neccessary to do the job!!
