More importantly why does everyone think we're appointing our new permenant manager today.

I think it will be a short term deal for someone too for now. Im not sure whether it will be Beaglehole or an external appointment but I cant see it being a permanent deal so soon after MM spoke to SS telling them that RK may be there in the summer.

Whatever, I hope Beaglehole survives the inevitable cull. He's been a genuine success these last two years with the Academy side and playing the brand of football we should be aspiring to at first team level. His loss would be a real blow.

Mind you 20% of people on here would probably be happy to see the Academy closed and the money spent on better catering.

I think Stowell could be retained too as goalkeeping coach if he wanted it - because our goalkeepers have improved steadily under his guidance. Not that I think that will happen.

Because the problem with caretakers is that they can temporarily excel themselves and become figures it would be unpopular - even unreasonable - to remove.

We need a new direction, or a genuine revival of Levein's direction, and the new manager will need every moment he can get to prepare for next season.

I agree. I think it would be sensible for a permanent manager to be appointed now. He will then get the chance to have a look at the existing squad and decide who he wants to keep and who he wants to move on. It is hard for a manager to do this close season as you dont really see the players play in games that matter.

RK has lost the dressing room and I am sure they know his days are numbered. Get a new manager in and they need to impress him to keep their jobs, that inturn hopefully means a better performance and then the points we need to stay up should come. In theory this is a smart move. Big big question is who have we got???

The Foxes chief - along with assistants Mike Stowell and Ian Miller - were ordered to meet with the club's owner following Easter Monday's 3-0 defeat at Plymouth Argyle.

This makes me think the lot of them will go.

The only guy I would like to see installed on a permanent at this moment in time, is Coleman (maybe Newell at a push) Otherwise any of the other names branded around, i would only want as a caretaker role.
