Master Fox Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 MM: 'Consider yourself well in, consider yourself one of the family............' Welcome Chris ' CC: Cheers Milan Ric, you’re setting yourself up for a massive disappointment.
lazeez Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 According to the Daily mail it said he has been sacked....... Also, with Jose Mourinho stating yesterday that he may not be there next season, i think it is a new era for LCFC
STUHILL Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 If RK is sacked AND there is a replacement, i am almost sure It can't be Coleman, the guy has just been sacked! I doubt he has already decided to move his whole family to Leicester this quick! The best I can hope for is RK has been sacked but no new manger has been appointed yet as the search is ongoing, i.e MM is talking to Coleman!!!!!
Fox in a Box Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 *** RK was actually on a one year rolling contract, this is up as of the 13th I believe MM possibly has viewed this as a possible route out for both parties... allowing whoever MM chooses to take over. Funny how Plymouth seem to get our managers the boot innit...(if this is whats happening)
Stevosevic Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 why 1.00 pm? its so late. if everything is sorted they should have it at 9 or 10.
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 This just posted on the bluearmy, ie Mercury, website.Either RK is going nowhere, or this is more appalling journalism from the Mercury, as it quotes RK 'today declared he would shirk etc blah blah If they mean today the interview was done about 9am. If not, that's a seriously poor piece of journalism riddled with lies I'm going to battle through the crisis By Andy Mann Robert Kelly today declared he would not shirk the challenge of Leicester City's relegation battle. City have been dragged back into the equation after taking just four points from the last eight games, the latest of which was the 3-0 defeat at Plymouth on Monday. Kelly said he felt sympathy for the supporters at Home Park who expressed their discontent at the performance on the final whistle The Freddie Merc goes to press in the morning of release so the interview will have been done yesterday! Expect a change to the front for later editions that will carry the Kelly Gone story! Also, the club are bound to announce who will be in charge for the remaining games and seeing as the likes of stowell and miller will be going with kelly, the chances are it will be something permanent! Just what i have heard anyhow!
Simi Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 why 1.00 pm? its so late. if everything is sorted they should have it at 9 or 10. Allows media to cover the story and get to the press conferecne.
Harpenden Fox Posted 11 April 2007 Author Posted 11 April 2007 Here's that piece from the source of all truth that is the Daily Moron / Mail Website Exclusive: Rob Kelly will today lose his job at Leicester City after being summoned to an early morning meeting with owner Milan Mandaric. Mandaric, who took over the club in March, made the decision with the club lying just five points clear of the relegation zone ...
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 Daily Mail reporting it as a sacking: see here (edited to correct link - whoops!)
Steven Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 The Mail are saying Kelly has been sacked. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...in_page_id=1779
dandannieldanok Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 WTF?!?!? Everything about LCFC this season has confused me, the inconsistent form, the MM saga, now a mystery press conference, what is up with tihs club?!?
Ric Flair Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 Gerry Taggart will be involved with someone else until the end of the season at Leicester.
Simi Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 Gerry Taggart will be involved with someone else until the end of the season at Leicester. This crossed my mind aswell.
Fox in a Box Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...d=1779&ct=5
Master Fox Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 Gerry Taggart will be involved with someone else until the end of the season at Leicester. i think you're right
Stevosevic Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 only problem is the mail is saying Worthington may takeover. please no. as i live in norwich i know better than most on this forum how bad he is.
Thracian Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 Thracian?Hellooo? He's probably already off to the Walkers. Just getting my coat. But you'll all have to put up with fast, aggressive, attacking full-backs, mobile, good passing centre-backs, high up-the-park defendiing, potential scorers in most positions, creative and goalscoring attackers, an inspiring hardcase in midfield, the biggest, nastiest and most ruthless centre-forward I can find, fast in-your-face wingers and support for each other like you'd never believe. Dour defence will be just a memory. It's all a dream.......
Brainy Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 Nigel Worthington or Paul Ince!?!?!? Somebody needs to tell Mr. Mandaric that Chris Coleman was sacked late last night.
Ric Flair Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 This crossed my mind aswell. But i've just been told that Bassett has been approached to take over until the summer?!!!!
Musty Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 Much as it pains me to quote anything from the Daily Mail...they claim an exclusive that Kelly has been given the boot...they have Nigel Worthington and Paul Ince as likely replacements... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...in_page_id=1779 Sorry - too slow!!
