All that has been achieved is that he has got a pay rise, his agent has earned some cash and we now for sure he wont leave in the summer and will be here for at least one more year. It doesnt take much for any player to dig his heels in if he wants a move but its good for the Premiership that Ronaldo stays put for now at least.
Anish Posted 14 April 2007 Posted 14 April 2007 If (and this is a big if) Man Utd win the treble, or even 2 of the 3 trophies available to them, why would he want to leave anyway? Sure, Real Madrid and Barcelona are world footballing institutions that would appeal to almost any player, but so are Manchester United. And the thing that United edge over Madrid and Barca (this season at least) is that they have dominated on all fronts, and will almost certainly pick up one trophy. Trophies are the things that top players want most, and in that respect currently United have the best chance of all three clubs.
