Good laugh with a few lads singing some random songs at the back and a decent game of cricket to watch as well
dandannieldanok 123 Posted 18 April 2007 Report Share Posted 18 April 2007 I only go to the twenty20, I apologise to all cricket fans in advance here but the county championship and even the one-day games are very tedious.

Chairman of the Bored 142 Posted 23 April 2007 Report Share Posted 23 April 2007 It's 5 Day Tests for me. Nice and slow. Lunch 42-1 off 37 overs. Special. Have had a ST at County for 40 years now, same time as I've been supporting LCFC. The two go hand in hand. Don't think we are going to have a great season though. Nixon and Broad come home soon! Nixon and Broad come home soon! Nixon is in the England squad for the summer so I don't think he'll play too many games for County this year. Come to mention it, so is Stuart Broad. Maybe it's not such a good thing they're home soon? Speaking of County, they're currently 222-9 off of 47.5 overs against Worcestershire in the Friends Provident Trophy. Nixon went for 31. Walkers 2,777 Posted 30 April 2007 Report Share Posted 30 April 2007 At least we have another chance against you in the Rugby next year.
lcfc_jme 300 Posted 1 May 2007 Report Share Posted 1 May 2007 (edited) At least we have another chance against you in the Rugby next year. Hardly likely to win that either to be fair. This'll be an up and down kind of season for county one thinks. They're a squad capable of achieving things, but, much like the football team, are too inconsistent to do so. EDIT: It'll be interesting to see how they do in the 20/20 without the likes of Maddy and Nixon to propel their run-rates. Edited 1 May 2007 by lcfc_jme

lcfc_jme 300 Posted 6 May 2007 Report Share Posted 6 May 2007 What do you mean if? I've never been to a cricket match before What can I expect? A fair bit of beer drinking (if you're up to the task) and some lovely weather. And if you're very lucky, some sexy stroke play both on and off the field.
