FilboFox Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 Well I started my exams last Thursday (final IB ones) and so far I have had highs and lows... I have completely finished English and I felt that my first paper was fab but the second not as good, I have now just had Maths on Mon and Tues and it was strange. My first exam was absolutely crap yet my second paper (the harder one) was much easier and although I was stuggling to get it all done in the time I still did a LOAD better... Now I've got History tomorrow (Source paper and 2 essays!) and then on Thurs I have History paper 3 (3 essays!) followed by D.T. Paper 1 and 2... what a tough day Friday is then just the final D.T. paper and I've almost finished... just need to wait for the 23rd when I have two French exams and then... poof!... no more school and I'm off to uni... if I get the grades I need... if they are all as bad as my maths then I doubt it!
Joe. Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 Just about to start GCSE's. Mainly they all start coming next week but I have my French oral tomorrow... <_<
JoeyB Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 i have visual media tomorrow and Friday then i have general studies and computing next week, and the week after then on the 4th of June i have Business, After that exam I'll leave Hind Leys CC and go to Loughborough College
Alexikokopops Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 Coming up to my final year of Uni exams, hooray. Last year I had about 25 hours of exams in 10 days, fun fun fun.
lookwhaticando Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 Just about to start GCSE's. Mainly they all start coming next week but I have my French oral tomorrow... <_< Just don't do what I did and you'll be fine... I let some German slip into my French oral. She caught me at it, too. I also got ribbed in class because my tutor was given a note to remind me during registration that I had my oral exam that afternoon. Our tutor read out the note as follows "Miss Royal wants to remind you that you have your Oral this afternoon" - to the whole class, who collectively found it highly amusing. :pinch:

Sadists the lot of us.
Floating Fox Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 I've not finished my AS coursework yet so no time to think about the exams
coale39 Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 Just had a uni exam today. Had it in sports hall and it was freezing! I had goose pimple's the whole time! Put me off me exam as me hand was numb!
FilboFox Posted 8 May 2007 Author Posted 8 May 2007 Well good luck to all those about to take some and those who are taking them! Hope all goes well.... Literally felt like after my maths yesterday...
potter3 Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 I much prefer exams to coursework, especially when the coursework is meant to be dozens of pages long and is worth about %10
Joe. Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 It's crap at our school this year.... <_< Normally we'd be allowed to go home when we don't have exams but no, we have to stay at school and go to lessons relevant to the next exam

Milky Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 I'm dreading GCSE's. :( If you look at the bigger picture, they don't really count for much. Just sit back and enjoy the ride, then you get an extended summer holiday when finished.
lookwhaticando Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 If you look at the bigger picture, they don't really count for much. Just sit back and enjoy the ride, then you get an extended summer holiday when finished. My summer holiday when I was doing GCSEs began the day classes finished and we had our exam break. The exams were just a mild inconvenience early on in the holiday.
lcfc_jme Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 My summer holiday when I was doing GCSEs began the day classes finished and we had our exam break. The exams were just a mild inconvenience early on in the holiday. True. Same could be said for me. I have 5 exams totaling 6 hours 2 weeks today - 3 Psychology and 2 English Language. Not happy 'cos I know my concentration will waiver and I'll fail at least one.
Flynny Posted 8 May 2007 Posted 8 May 2007 All on the same day? That's shocking timetabling. I was getting pissed off about having 4 in 2 days, but that's fucking ridiculous.
