A bit 70s but off to see Roger Waters at Earls Court on Friday. he's doing Dark Side of the Moon. Saw Floyd at Knebworth in '75. Utterly brilliant.

He's coming to Ottawa in June, and I'm wondering whether I ought to go or not.

Big fan of Floyd, not so much Waters by himself - I find most of his solo work quite shit.

Didn't stop me getting his DVD 'In The Flesh' because he did quite a few Floyd songs... did a pretty good job of them too, to be fair. Comfortably Numb with two guitarists doing the solo was really quite clever, I thought.

You'll have to let us know how you rate it. ;)

Will offer a fulsome review upon my return. Missing the Yo-evil vs F****** play off game on TV for him so it had better be good!

Hope to hell you're watching Yo-evil and not Forest.

Not watching either as at Roger Waters! But if I was I'd hope to see them beat each other to a pulp with neither side a winner. My ex- came from Bath and I watched Bath City a few times. They hate Yo-evil and so do I!

I got that bit... lol

I was just expressing the hope that you weren't cheering Forest on. :P

Alas, no... you intended to torture yourself by watching two teams you hate. Why would you subject yourself to that? lol

He performed on the last day at Roskilde Festival last year. Amazing show, and amazing sound. I found his solo stuff to be really boring, but his rendition of DSOTM was as good as you can hope it to be without having the original lineup  Definitely worth it!

I've seen Pink Floyd with and without Roger Waters and Roger waters solo. It was a while ago that I saw his solo show (Radio KAOS tour) but it was brilliant. Radio KAOS sounded better than it did on the LP, and after he had done the LP he spent about 1.5 hours playing classic floyd numbers, it was mind blowingly good. I'd say go if you get the chance.

Fantastic guitarist.

Great voice too tbh.

I wouldn't call him a great guitarist.........nor a great voice. Now David Gilmore is something else. I have seen Pink Floyd three times LA Colisseum, Miami Dolphins Ground and the RKO Stadium in Washington DC but never with Roger.

If you want to see a great show, the production of The Wall (Live in Berlin) in 1990 is worth a look. Joe Satriani and Snowy White play lead guitars.
