Lineker's Left Foot Posted 20 May 2007 Posted 20 May 2007 Anybody catch this last night? Jimi Hendrix must have been phenomenal, much better than I thought !! He went and jammed with Cream on stage and blew them away in about 1967/68!! The man was an absolute genius and of course he took on the mantle of a couple of other tracks and revolutionised them e.g. All Along The Watchtower by Bob Dylan and Hey Joe as well !!

Will definitely look forward to seeing Pink Floyd and David Bowie. Am planning to buy greatest hits of Rolling Stones today now as a result of last nights show as never normally rated The Stones - until last night that is!!
Chairman of the Bored Posted 20 May 2007 Posted 20 May 2007 Yeah, watched the whole show. Excellent. Really good from start to finish. Didn't pull any punches and I saw some stuff I hadn't seen before (interviews with Jimi and Townsend). Looking forward to the next 6 shows, especially the one on Punk. Hopefully it will be out as a DVD after the series.
