Mikey Posted 23 May 2007 Posted 23 May 2007 fook!!! 1-0 Half time. Yeh I thought it was off his arm as well.
lookwhaticando Posted 23 May 2007 Posted 23 May 2007 These TSN/ESPN commentators are stroking their bollocks at how Inzaghi (sp?) can change the game. Helllooooo! It hit him you pillocks. Thick Irish twat. Worse still, if it hits your arm and goes in, surely it's handball. That's my opinion anyway.
Brainy Posted 23 May 2007 Posted 23 May 2007 AC Milan shouldn't even be in this competition, It may sound like sour grapes but I heard reports that they had been chucked out of the Champions League last summer, despite their position in Serie A last season.
Tubes Posted 23 May 2007 Posted 23 May 2007 i had £5 on Inzaghi at 11/2so im happy fair play mate unlucky to be losing liverpool but just shows how unpredictable football is

Yeah for match fixing but then it got overturned after an appeal

That'd be because they were found guilty of downright corruption, along with three or four other top Italian teams. They were all banned from European competition, but this was lifted when they appealed. Disgraceful. Clubs charged with corruption don't deserve to ride on the ol' European gravy train. What an example to set!

Brainy Posted 23 May 2007 Posted 23 May 2007 The last two teams to take the lead in the CL Final have both gone on to lose
Brainy Posted 23 May 2007 Posted 23 May 2007 Farce. AC Milan and, 3 mins added time + 30 secs for substitution = 3:30m Match End Time: 92:40 Farce.
potter3 Posted 23 May 2007 Posted 23 May 2007 What was the ref playng at?? Does he think you have to take 30 seconds off for a substitution??
lildave3 Posted 23 May 2007 Author Posted 23 May 2007 Very harsh on Liverpool imo, but for me Rafa got his team wrong. I think the choice of Zenden and Pennnant on the wings was the wrong decision. Neither were very good, Pennant had lots of good chances to whip a good ball in but there wasn't one. Zenden never got in to the game and Gerrard wasn't at his best and I don't think where he was positioned helped at all. I was also surprised at them taking Mascherano off. Until then they had contained Kaka and he hadn't really caused any problems.
lookwhaticando Posted 23 May 2007 Posted 23 May 2007 The ref doesn't bother me. The fact that a club found guilty of corruption is allowed into the most lucrative pan European competition going. It's a fooking disgrace. The fact the first goal was a handball doesn't help me either. Corruption is rife in Italy, that was proven in the summer when four big clubs got punished... so why are they still allowed to complete? Disgrace.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 23 May 2007 Posted 23 May 2007 Filippo Inzaghi - the Elvis Hammond of the Champions' League.
Micky Ruddle Posted 23 May 2007 Posted 23 May 2007 They didn't play as well as i thought they did the 'Pool That's my opinion. I didn't see much, but from what i did see, it wasn't brilliant. Unlucky scousers, there is always next year.

Until then they had contained Kaka and he hadn't really caused any problems. While Pennant did blob a few too many moves, his positional sense in the first half was pretty solid. After all, he picked up just about every defensive cock up Milan cared to make. Shame he couldn't seem to do the right thing once he got the ball. The game was lost in the first half when Liverpool failed to punish Milan for being atrociously shit.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 23 May 2007 Posted 23 May 2007 Barton's going to have a field day with Gerrard's performance. No excuses, he was garbage.
Mikey Posted 23 May 2007 Posted 23 May 2007 Yeh it is a disgrace..also there should have been at least 4 minutes of extra time. Inzaghi first goal is handball. Liverpool fans still singing Also why did Rafa bring on Arbeloa and not Bellamy.

lookwhaticando Posted 23 May 2007 Posted 23 May 2007  You can't really claim that can you? His arms were by his sides and it just hit him. It's normal to assume the Italians cheated... because let's face it, chances are they did anyway.
Joe. Posted 23 May 2007 Posted 23 May 2007 Probably a harsh scoreline on Liverpool but at the end of the day, to win football matches you need to take your chances and Liverpool just didn't do that. A great deal of luck on Milan's part, first for the goal just before half time and just generally for the ref's shoddy performance. Still can't quite work out how Jermaine Pennant managed to worm his way into Liverpool's first team. He's never been good at Liverpool, bar one brilliant goal against Chelsea. All in all, Liverpool will feel agrieved not to have won, but that's football for you
