Brainy Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 Sorry about the commentary.. Silverstone 2003 I wish he had seriously hurt himself, and thats just putting it nicely. What a fool.

Brainy Posted 4 June 2007 Author Posted 4 June 2007 Well if I was security, I wouldn't like to 'risk my life' by going onto the track to get rid of the idiot.
lildave3 Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 Well if I was security, I wouldn't like to 'risk my life' by going onto the track to get rid of the idiot. How the hell did he get there in the first place then? Anywhere else it wouldn't have happened.
Brainy Posted 4 June 2007 Author Posted 4 June 2007 Well as somebody points out in the comments, it happened in Hockenheim a year before.. But yeah I dont know. Trust a Scottish.. **** to do that.
l444ry Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 The man is a serial half-wit. He is a de-frocked end of the world Catholic Priest who not only tried to run in front of the horses in the 2004 Derby but succeeded in infiltrating the marathon course during the Greek Olympics of the same year, pushing the two leaders into the crowd whilst holding a "the end is nigh" placard.
potter3 Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 I one had hit him wouldn't it have demolished half the car too
isaidno Posted 5 June 2007 Posted 5 June 2007 The marshal who tackled him got awarded a bravery award. The security at Silverstone has improved since then , they have put locked gates on all the marshal post now.
The Stig Posted 5 June 2007 Posted 5 June 2007 I was at the race, there had been a few crashes and a safety car all ready and the race had only just got intersesting again, then that idiot did that! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Horan his wikipedia entry (above) is quite interesting

Marshall ran onto the track, under orders and was hit by Tom Pryce. Both the driver and the marshal were killed instantly... Wikipedia Article Youtube Video Video is quite graphic, even though it's poor quality.
hairy Posted 5 June 2007 Posted 5 June 2007 I recall this. I was in a F1 sweepstake with some mates. My drives were 2nd, 3rd, 4th. I was going to clean up. Then that twat ran on the track and it all went tits-up. He wanted F1 drivers to read the bible more.
Floating Fox Posted 5 June 2007 Posted 5 June 2007 Watching that video reminds me of some of the other fatal crashes in F1. I think Giles Villnerve and Roland Ratzenberger are horrific. There's also an absolute shocker from Donnington Park in an F3000 race. Shows how far safety has come in F1 cars over the last 10 years or so - I mean Aryton Senna's Crash doesn't look that bad really. I will post them if you want but they're quite disturbing.
isaidno Posted 5 June 2007 Posted 5 June 2007 Villeneuve's was terrible, he got thrown from his car. Also Roger Willamson, a local driver who's car caught fire with him trapped in it was awful.

potter3 Posted 5 June 2007 Posted 5 June 2007 fook, I just watched the Villeneuve one, you can see him flung across the track about 5 metres in the air
Floating Fox Posted 5 June 2007 Posted 5 June 2007 fook, I just watched the Villeneuve one, you can see him flung across the track about 5 metres in the air The Donny Park one is worse
