JoeyB Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Sheffield United keeper Paddy Kenny has raised £10,000 for a local children's hospice by running 78 miles in three days from Skegness to his South Yorkshire home. (Daily Star) i know its in the star, but i dont think they would lie about something like that tbh, With none of the chelsea players donating any money for that nurses day i think its disgusting!! Well done Paddy Kenny
City fan @ Aston Uni Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Yeh i heard this on Sky Sports News on Monday i think, fair play to him!!!
JoeyB Posted 7 June 2007 Author Posted 7 June 2007 See if Kenny can raise money, why cant the others?
shen Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 See if Kenny can raise money, why cant the others? Maybe they've been rejected by nurses in the past
Mort Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 To be fair, it very possible that this is just a case of Kenny getting some media attention (not that that is in any way a bad reflection on him) for doing some charity work while perhaps some other players dont... i seem to remember that Jose does a fair bit of charity work(?), its a question of which players/clubs the media like to focus on to a certain extent... though i admit the nurses thing saw Chelski come out of it very badly indeed!
Simi Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 See if Kenny can raise money, why cant the others? If the media managed to comment on the amount of money many of the pro footballers give to charites then people would have a much more positive opinion of them. A lot of footballers have their own charities established.
Brainy Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Sorry, but why the f'ck have you singled out Lampard for critisism?
filbertway Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Sorry, but why the f'ck have you singled out Lampard for critisism? He's greedy
lildave3 Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 How do you know that other players don't raise money or give to charity?
