Joe. Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 Very enjoyable day, helped greatly by the 4-2 win (although it could so easily have been 10-3) Goal of the day for me was Finnegan's audacious chip Miss of the day was surely Manwell's messed up open goal Man of the Match was Maybes I reckon, JME and Tevez also deserve a good mention too All in all, a great day out with great people. Thanks to Manwell for the organisation and to Thracian for kindly paying for us all
Leicester Lass Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 Back home and showered, awaiting the taxi to go out.Well done to the under 21's on their win. My guys did all I asked of them. We were down to the bones but they all showed me commitment and passion and I'm sure will be redoubling our efforts on the training ground next week to put things right. Not sure that it will be enough to save my job though. You forgot to say they are honest lads and the crowd was fantastic.

Thanks to Manwell for the organisation and to Thracian for kindly paying for us all That would of made it 1-0 when we trailing in the game, lucky break for us. Can somebody post the over 21's formation so we know where people played? Our starting line up was. Tevez Me Maybes Potter C-Man Jonbluefox Wilkes Benji lcfc_jme Bert Tommeh Joe came on at right back aswell LD3 (upfront) Mikey (right wing) Filbertway (Everywhere) Turkish (Centre back)
Floating Fox Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 Standupandsing will have them on here later Just looking at them now. I've got a sexeh one of Fez taking a Corner :w00t:
Simi Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 Just looking at them now. I've got a sexeh one of Fez taking a Corner :w00t: Did you get the one of me taking the corner ?
Joe. Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 I still can't believe there was only 6 goals in this game.
Floating Fox Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 Think I knew all the Over 21's Apart From 3 of you who looked alike, one of which I believe was Scoweh.
Leicester Lass Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 I still can't believe there was only 6 goals in this game. But there was 7
Floating Fox Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 Did you get the one of me taking the corner ? Too right I did
Simi Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 Think I knew all the Over 21's Apart From 3 of you who looked alike, one of which I believe was Scoweh. Scoweh played down the left. But was kept quite by Ched.
Joe. Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 But there was 7 Nah it was 4-2. A third "goal" was scored by the Over 21-s. (Blatantly offside)
Sly Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 That would of made it 1-0 when we trailing in the game, lucky break for us. Can somebody post the over 21's formation so we know where people played? Our starting line up was. Tevez Me Maybes Potter C-Man Jonbluefox Wilkes Benji lcfc_jme Bert Tommeh Joe came on at right back aswell LD3 (upfront) Mikey (right wing) Filbertway (Everywhere) Turkish (Centre back) We didn't really have a formation. It sort of went to pot. I'm a winger and played at centre back/left back.
Lord Nibblington Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 I played in defence the whole game. And I like to think we didn't really have a set formation, but allowed each member of our team to fluidly interchange with each other. Or everyone just stood around. One of the two.
lcfc_jme Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 Thoroughly enjoyable day - definitely one which needs repeating. Pre-match beers, post-game beers and a lot of water in between ! Thracian's pep talk was Godly, Maybes was my MOTM with some awesome defending and a goal of his own. I scored the first goal due to some neat footwork and a slightly mis-hit shot. The second goal was a super-sexy finish though. Surely the better goal of the two. Andy has a picture of it. Orgasmic. Ched knows. Special mention to TPH for doing a lot more running than he said he would, and scoring a fantastic header himself. Disappointed to not see him standing and pointing though. Still, needs doing again I'd say. And my team did as I said they would - they won. 4-2.
Mort Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 Did wander over from our end of term shin-dig... was a decent game from what i could see, damn-sight better than the brusing game of rounders followed by the 8 a-side i found my self playing later....

Maybe a bit more notice so I can get in shape though.

Were you sitting near the corner with flower necklace on?
Lord Nibblington Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 We should definately do it again. Maybe a bit more notice so I can get in shape though. But if we got in shape, what excuse would we have for not winning?
Tommeh Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 Were you sitting near the corner with flower necklace on? you know he was you pointed him out to me
Sly Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 But if we got in shape, what excuse would we have for not winning? If we were in shape maybe we'd have won?
lcfc_jme Posted 9 June 2007 Posted 9 June 2007 Oh and I forgot to add. 'Kokopops is an absolutely awesome goalkeeper. His challenge on lildave3 was one of the greatest I've ever seen in my life.
