BartonFox Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 Canada lost to the tiny French-Caribbean island of Guadeloupe in the CONCACAF Gold Cup last night 2-1. I hope he comes back fit.
lookwhaticando Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 That's just Canada all over... the English majority Canadians bending over to the will of the minority French speaking population...
Simi Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 Canada lost to the tiny French-Caribbean island of Guadeloupe in the CONCACAF Gold Cup last night 2-1.I hope he comes back fit. It would be a right kick in the bollocks if he doesn't come back fit after this shoddy performance.
Simi Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 When you say 25 minutes, was he subbed or did he come on as a sub?
Joe. Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 I would be surprised if he was a sub. Surely there aren't many better Canadian strikers?
act smiley Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 They've got a few reasonable ones, Olivier Occean is meant to be pretty good and theres one or two others. Plus their manager is a poor quality, underqualified reject, so even if he was world class he still might not have started.
00rawat Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 Do know if Hume scored there only goal or was it someone else?
lookwhaticando Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 Jocelyn Angloma scored in the ninth minute and David Fleurival scored the winner in the 34 minute. Canada’s lone goal was scored by striker Ali Gerba in the 31st minute. The game was won and lost after just 34 minutes, then. Pretty pathetic showing if you have nearly an hour to get something out of the game and fail to do so. It's just like watching Leicester, it's just like...
MC Prussian Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 Guadeloupe... Well Iain, prepare for an attacking midfielder role next season...
BartonFox Posted 10 June 2007 Author Posted 10 June 2007 I would be surprised if he was a sub. Surely there aren't many better Canadian strikers? He has managed a whole 25 minutes in 2 games. Unused sub in a 2-1 win against Costa Rica and he replaced the goalscorer yesterday. Would seem our Iain isn't such the Canadian superstar many think Hope he is resting up well ahead of the boot camp.
Daggers Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 There's no easy games anymore in International football
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 There's no easy games anymore in International football Apart from the Isle of Wight. They're rubbish.
BartonFox Posted 10 June 2007 Author Posted 10 June 2007 Apart from the Isle of Wight. They're rubbish. And Wales
Molson Canadian Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 And England most of the time! watched the game, horrible show from canada, considering the fact they beat costa rica last game 2-0 and they qualified for the world cup....next game haiti....anyways hume got 25 minutes in the 2nd half looked lively and fired up as usualy but the midfield to be honest wasn't getting any decent balls into him, he had a few chances but didn't get a solid shot on net...i think he will get the start against haiti next game upfront with dwayne de resario
Simi Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 anyways hume got 25 minutes in the 2nd half looked lively and fired up as usualy but the midfield to be honest wasn't getting any decent balls into him, he had a few chances but didn't get a solid shot on net...i Where have I seen that before ?
