GianEmmo Zola Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 i no pompeys and f*^&sts is already on here, but is there any other clubs looking to buy new grounds and if people can put on some pics of them on here that would be good im quite liking liverpools new plans. but it wont be the same as anfield i no im not a liverpool fan but wen the fans are singing youll never walk alone it makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck!
samingram_uk Posted 23 June 2007 Posted 23 June 2007 Cardiff are getting the same flatpack as MK Dons. ikea jobbie
Tommeh Posted 23 June 2007 Posted 23 June 2007 As big and impressive as liverpool's new ground will be, I'm sure it will be a bad thing, along with Hillsborough and villa park its one of the only real 40,000+ traditional stadiums left. The atmosphere at anfield is unbelievable and its become such a fortress, I can't see it being the same as their new emirates style ground.
Gené and Tonic Posted 23 June 2007 Posted 23 June 2007 Would Goodison, Stamford Bridge and Elland Road also fit into those brackets?
Tommeh Posted 23 June 2007 Posted 23 June 2007 Would Goodison, Stamford Bridge and Elland Road also fit into those brackets? Goodison holds 38,000 so I suppose you could include it, Stamford bidge has been completely redone i the last 10 years and never fills me with excitment and Elland road is Leeds ground, Leeds are in League 1, Leeds have no relevance to this thread, Leeds don't count.

Who are this Leeds club you keep talking about? My favourite new designed ground is Oxford United's Kassam stadium, it's probably the strangest place I've ever been, it's a 3 sided stadium with a carpark on the other end...

I went in one of the boxes on its open day, against Leicester, think the match was 0-0 thought
dandannieldanok Posted 23 June 2007 Posted 23 June 2007 Have a look through here I'm liking the look of Salford City's New Stadium, just chose to look at it at random and I'm impressed.
city1993 Posted 24 June 2007 Posted 24 June 2007 Yh I think that Liverpool's stadium will be much better design, but Anfield going, even people who don' support Liverpool must be sad to see it go, what a ground !!
dandannieldanok Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Liverpool Unveil New Stadium Plans Did a child design that?
Floating Fox Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Brighton have been given the green light, again Chester & Morecombe also looking at re-developing/moving
David Villa Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 As big and impressive as liverpool's new ground will be, I'm sure it will be a bad thing, along with Hillsborough and villa park its one of the only real 40,000+ traditional stadiums left. The atmosphere at anfield is unbelievable and its become such a fortress, I can't see it being the same as their new emirates style ground I remember going to watch Liverpool with my old man once and i had the honour of sitting in the Kop. What an experience that was, the hairs were standing up on the back of my neck and this was only against Bolton. I can only imagine what it would be like against United or a Champs League game.
Ashley Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Liverpool Unveil New Stadium Plans I think they could do better than that. Poor design.
Floating Fox Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Christ, Anfield is like a morgue at an average run-of-the-mill game. Don't get me wrong, it's the best place in the country on a Champions league night, but its awfull for most league games.
davieG Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 I think they could do better than that.Poor design. In what way? Looks, Size, functionality. With an 18000 single tier Kop designed to make best use of the noise I would think that someone's put practicality before anything else.

They are the only fans in the prem league except from Pompey who actually sing at home games. Didnt you watch the Chelsea game mate when they won 2-0. They won them that game.

Credit to the American owners for changing the plans to make a large single tier kop. Hopefully, the new stadium will trap noise, rather than flowing it onto the pitch (cover for the noise disappears). I actually think the stadium looks stylish with its own character rather than a carbon copy of everybody else's stadium. It's about time we got some individuality back with grounds, bit of individual character and style.
Zingari Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Liverpool Unveil New Stadium Plans and all the cars that are supposed to be outside have all been nicked nice touch
The People's Hero Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Maidstone United have one on the way. Gooooooooooooooooooooooooo STONES!
