Floating Fox Posted 8 September 2007 Posted 8 September 2007 Most boring qualifying of the year. Wouldn't say that, was still more entertaining than tomorrows race will be
Gené and Tonic Posted 8 September 2007 Author Posted 8 September 2007 I'll still be a fool and watch the race though. Whats the bet Alonso leads every lap?
Brainy Posted 9 September 2007 Posted 9 September 2007 Barrichello: Giancarlo is experienced enough to just.. shut up"
Brainy Posted 9 September 2007 Posted 9 September 2007 Surely these commentators aren't going to be here next year? Hamilton takes 28 seconds in the pit lane, Raikkonen 22 seconds behind him, it's pretty damn ****ing obvious who's going to be in front. Half-decent.
Gené and Tonic Posted 9 September 2007 Author Posted 9 September 2007 Brundle to stay Love to get an American commentator in for novelty value. The guy who does the Eurosport GP2 races is pretty good as is the MotoGP commentator
lildave3 Posted 9 September 2007 Posted 9 September 2007 Missed it, will try and catch highlights later.
Gené and Tonic Posted 10 September 2007 Author Posted 10 September 2007 Franchitti wins the Indycar championship after the race leader and championship rival Scott Dixon runs out of fuel on the final lap of the race Now that's entertainment

isaidno Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 The Fuji Speedway and Suzuka circuits are to host the Japanese Grand Prix on alternate years starting in 2009, it was announced on Saturday. Fuji will stage the 2007 and 2008 events, with Suzuka returning to the calendar the following season. The new arrangement is the result of discussions between the two circuits and Formula One Administration Limited (FOA), and is designed to promote the continued success of Formula One racing in Japan. "We have concluded an agreement on the alternation of the Formula One Japanese Grand Prix between Fuji Speedway and Suzuka Circuit, to ensure the progress and success of keeping Formula One in Japan over the long term,†commented FOA CEO Bernie Ecclestone. “I am very happy that Fuji Speedway and Suzuka Circuit made this possible. It also makes me very pleased that we will retain Suzuka as it has supported Formula One for 20 years and the large amount of our fans." This year’s Japanese Grand Prix will be the first at Fuji since 1977, the circuit having also hosted the race in 1976, while Suzuka was home to the event every year between 1987 and 2006.

Brainy Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Bit stupid to have this hearing the day before preparations really start to take place.
isaidno Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 The FIA has confirmed that a definitive verdict is now imminent
The Stig Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I hate the politics in Formula 1, lets just hope this great year isn't ruined by this.
Brainy Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Quite funny yesterday when somebody stated that the 'F' in 'F1' stands for Ferrari.

Wycombe Fox Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 I watched the 2nd practice live on the 'net and caught part of a conversation that the American commentary team were having. I missed the start of it but the general gist was that Alonso had done something to jeopardise the jobs of all 800 McLaren employees. One of the commentators also said that if he were a mechanic in Alonso's team then he wouldn't feel like doing anything on Alonso's car and even doubted whether he'd be bothered to start his car up! They also mentioned that allegedly, Alonso asked Ron Dennis to replace Hamilton with a lesser driver and that when RD refused, Alonso grassed on the team to the FIA/WMSC about the e-mails between himself and Pedro De La Rosa. Incredible stuff. Alonso seems to have upset a lot of people in McLaren. They also discussed the fact that with McLaren now going to finish bottom of the Constructor's Championship, next season they will have the worst position in the pit lane, be sat next to the Spyker team and at many circuits won't have enough space for all of their gear, motorhomes etc. Come on Lewis!!
Brainy Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 Is this a stupid question? Whats so bad about being next to Spyker in the pit lane?
isaidno Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 If Mclaren win on sunday, i'm assuming they can't collect the constructors trophy
