Milky Posted 7 July 2007 Posted 7 July 2007 He was 4th fastest with 2 mins to go, then pulls that beauty out of the bag.
Gené and Tonic Posted 7 July 2007 Author Posted 7 July 2007 Allen exploded Great lap though, right when he needed it.
lildave3 Posted 7 July 2007 Posted 7 July 2007 Quality stuff from Hamilton. Andy will be delighted with this news...
Brainy Posted 7 July 2007 Posted 7 July 2007 Absolute quality. Raikkonen and Hamilton make a slight mistake around the last major time, yet they go 1-2 for tomorrow.
city1993 Posted 8 July 2007 Posted 8 July 2007 Come on LEWIS HAMILTON, win your home race son, you deserve it boy.
Raise Cattle Posted 8 July 2007 Posted 8 July 2007 Taking the Silverstone GP off the calendar would be like ripping the heart out of F1. Britain is one of the biggest countries involved in the sport. Getting rid of it because some sheik will offer more money to make some faceless track is just the typical short sighted thing that Ecclestone would do though, it seems.

Joe. Posted 8 July 2007 Posted 8 July 2007 It's not looking so good at the moment. He's struggling down in 5th
The Stig Posted 8 July 2007 Posted 8 July 2007 Great race Kimi, Alonso was on a great strategy, Lewis will be dissapointed but still drove a great race. Well done all 3. The pressure Lewis was under was HUGE so did excellently.
lildave3 Posted 8 July 2007 Posted 8 July 2007 It's not looking so good at the moment. He's struggling down in 5th Only because some people hadn't pitted I presume?
Joe. Posted 8 July 2007 Posted 8 July 2007 1 K Raikkonen (Fin) Ferrari 2 F Alonso (Spn) McLaren-Mercedes 3 L Hamilton (GB) McLaren-Mercedes 4 R Kubica (Pol) BMW Sauber 5 F Massa (Brz) Ferrari 6 N Heidfeld (Ger) BMW Sauber 7 H Kovalainen (Fin) Renault 8 G Fisichella (It) Renault
Blue Bob Posted 8 July 2007 Posted 8 July 2007 Wrong tyre strategy apparently. Took it easy to save the engine for the next race. Pity would have been nice for him to win but I am sure he will get many more chances to win the Nritish GP.
Floating Fox Posted 8 July 2007 Posted 8 July 2007 To be fair, for the first/Second time this season the pressure was on Lewis & not Fernando....again my theory proved correct. Was a bit of a crap race & I can see some tabloids being very farcicle about it tommorrow. The difference between the teams are becoming very great, espcially at tracks like Silverstone. It wont be long before its just the 2 Mclaren, 2 Ferrari, 2 BMW, 2 Renault, 2 Honda, 2 Red bull etc etc.... Tbh I preferd it when the reliability was crap What happened to the rain as well Stop telling me its going to rain & then be sunny
Geo V Posted 8 July 2007 Posted 8 July 2007 Not his greatest race but at least its another podium finish. He does seem to back off though when he isnt in front which is a worry as the last two races have seen him just coast home when things didnt go his way. Lets hope that this is more down to the car than his mental state . BTW this championhip looks set to rival La Liga in closeness!! It should be fun.
Floating Fox Posted 8 July 2007 Posted 8 July 2007 The profile of F1 has been Raised hugely this year as well. I don't think I've ever seen so many adverts related to F1 as this season
Floating Fox Posted 8 July 2007 Posted 8 July 2007 Think I'm going to plug Batracer now as well Great online racing game - Totally free! Plenty of seats available in Formula Foxestalk at the moment as well Just one warning it does require you to log in every day

Gené and Tonic Posted 8 July 2007 Author Posted 8 July 2007 Stowe corner. Take note Mr Tilke. That is an overtaking corner. Not the stupid long straight then hairpin idea.

Gené and Tonic Posted 8 July 2007 Author Posted 8 July 2007 Too wide..too flat..all the same 2 or 3 of them would be good, because I agree they do produce some good racing, but it takes away the variety, challenges and enjoyment from the sport. Silverstone, Spa, Imola, Monza and Suzuka are really popular because they're different, challenging and popular with the drivers. Your never going to please everyone, and while I accept that his Turkish track is a really good design, unfortunately I can't forgive him for what he did to Hockenheim and now Fuji

Bahrain, Turkey, Malasyia are all top tracks imo and provide the best racing of the year. (Unless it rains ) He's designed the Singapore & Valencia Street tracks as well I believe!
isaidno Posted 10 July 2007 Posted 10 July 2007 Christijan Albers loses Spyker drive Spyker has announced that it has split with Christijan Albers with immediate effect. The Dutch driver had been under pressure all season after struggling to match his rookie team-mate Adrian Sutil's pace, but a team statement said that he had ultimately been dropped after a sponsor defaulted. http://www.itv-f1.com/News_Latest.aspx
