Master Fox Posted 28 June 2007 Posted 28 June 2007 This thread needs officially locking!!Preferabley with a black border!! Signifying the death of English tennis! Do me a favour Phubes!! That’s the biggest over reaction of all time. When has English tennis ever been any good? A long time ago.. Just because a load of square heads shout ‘Go Timmy’ doesn’t really signify anything but a bunch of chumps standing on a hill cheering on some lamo douche bag called Timmy.
Flexx Posted 28 June 2007 Posted 28 June 2007 I look forward to reading your "Tim is shit" post when he bows out of Wimbledom. Tim is officially shit!!
Milky Posted 28 June 2007 Posted 28 June 2007 Without Tim english tennis would have been dead 12 years ago

Well until 'shit' Timmy, we hadn't had a male player reach the semi's at Wimbledon since the 70's!!!! Tim managed it 4 times (always losing to the eventual winner!), how many Brits are left in?? Let alone English players... At least he gave people something to cheer on the the second week for 8 years. I don't think I'll see that for a very, very long time!!!
Brainy Posted 28 June 2007 Posted 28 June 2007 It should be Murray Mountain, not Henman Hill You'll never see me supporting that idiot.
Manwell Pablo Posted 28 June 2007 Posted 28 June 2007 Henman was a good player but he is a shadow of the player he once was. Also " just being out of steam" after 5 sets is not a plausible excuse for him losing it just shows he's no longer able to play Grand Slam Tennis.
dandannieldanok Posted 28 June 2007 Posted 28 June 2007 Also " just being out of team" after 5 sets is not a plausible excuse for him losing it just shows he's no longer able to play Grand Slam Tennis. Would you say Carlos Moya is no longer to play Grand Slam Tennis then?
Manwell Pablo Posted 28 June 2007 Posted 28 June 2007 Would you say Carlos Moya is no longer to play Grand Slam Tennis then? I'd say yes he's not far off retirement he'll be slipping down the rankings until he retires. Weren't expecting that were you.

No I wasn't expecting that because Moya doesn't look like slipping at all, in fact he has rose considerably in the rankings lately
Manwell Pablo Posted 28 June 2007 Posted 28 June 2007 No I wasn't expecting that because Moya doesn't look like slipping at all, in fact he has rose considerably in the rankings lately yes as he was out for awhile injured and dropped down considerable and now he's come back and reached the dizzy heights of about 26! He wont be going much higher. He still does alright in the three set tournaments but he's grandslam performance has been off for awhile. Barring this years French open he hasn't made a quarter final in three years. He wont be around for a great deal longer, a year maybe 2 at most.
