Scow Posted 12 February 2005 Posted 12 February 2005 Stewart is a good left back at this level, certainly better there than he is on the wing. His final ball recently has been far to inconsistant.Stewart is very sound defensively, I think you have been watching different matches recently City Fan 65990 I watched the Gillingham and the Crewe game recently and he was bloody awful in both. 66034 Perhaps because your judgement of him is affected by his attacking displays... Please expand on why you think he was poor defensively in those two games.

So many people get on his back if he does one thing wrong and then forget any good things he may have done in games, shocking.
Wellman Posted 12 February 2005 Posted 12 February 2005 Jordan is actually a better player away from home. *Of what I've seen and heard of* I don't know why this is. Maybe it is that he has more confidence at actually trying to do something that he wouldn't usually do infront of our home crowd as they get on his back a lot. If we are more positives towards the players then surely they will improve, I'm sure if the crowd don't get on Jordon's back as much as they do, he will become a more positive player. IMO
Anish Posted 13 February 2005 Posted 13 February 2005 Jordan  66049 It was a class goal - just before he was taking the free-kick I said "He's never gonna score from this!" - how wrong I was

Turned round and said, 'Pardon.' Quality goal!

What game were you watching precisely? Defensively I think hes the soundest we have right now. Yes he is infuriatingly inconsistent going forward (like chalk and cheese pretty much), but the section of the corwd constantly on his back does not help.
