I keep seeing and hearing about taking the pressure off of Hume and Fryatt, but surely that is what is needed to get the best out of them? We've had no real competition for places anywhere, especially up front. If they see that their position in the starting line up is under threat, and seriously under threat, then the onus is on them to sort their game out. Management and coaches can only do so much, at the end of the day, it's down to the player himself, and if he can't handle it, then he's in the wrong job.

I've always said something along those lines, I just argued that he wasn't crap, and you said he was

And he was, whenever he got the ball in the box :P

I see what you're saying - some kind of Dr Who evil genius plot to build a machine and extract the decent components from them in order to build a super striker.

Niiiiice

Seeing as the plan to drop them into one of the nuclear reactors at Sellafield was abandoned, I had to think of something.

I'd like to see a three man attack, or some more attacking-minded wingers. I want LCFC to be an attacking team as opposed to last season's tactics of defend, hoof up to striker and hope for best, defend again.

Yeah, I would EVEN take a long ball attitude (can't believe I just wrote that) if it got us out or at least in the top half of the division. MA is rumoured to have played the Dons in that way......

I really though, would like to see some stylish, passing and penetrative football, we were so weak in areas of the mid-field last year that my season ticket seemed to bring me a greater ratio of un-happiness to happiness. If I was as fickle with relationships as LCFC, I would have unceremoniously dumped my football club before January.

I have had moments waking up on Saturdays thinking "oh a home game today, that'll ruin my weekend..."

I am however now very excited about the team, though I reckon the next few signings (the money ones always come later) will be key to my happiness.

With regard to Hume and Fryatt, (back to thread, sorry) some decent crosses and service through the middle will show their ability rather than judging them on a couple of half chance opportunities every other game.

I reckon MA will be able vary his tactics with the depth of options within the squad....we may just see a team with more than one dimension. When we got Chambers MA said he will be an asset if he does the job he wans him to.....
