OzFox311 Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 I think with a decent group of cattle, a decent manager, a decent owner and some commitment to the cause, which is hopefully what Allen can instill into the side, much like he has all the other sides he's coached.... I'll go as far as saying we can make the playoffs... I have much hope in the new look LCFC to do the job... if we had been consistent we could have made 10-13 last season, sure enough with the group we have now, we can do better than that.
AyewJoking Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 A respectable 9th. We will win the league in 2008/09.
LCFC2007 Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 I think if we bring in some more experienced players like Clemence and some good young ones from the BIG 4 (chelsea etc.) like Kaebi then we will have no problem getting in the top two PS Hopefully as champions
He's not bald Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 A respectable 9th. We will win the league in 2008/09. Agree...and really go for it in 08/09...
Ultra Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Anything is possible, but this club is effectively recovering from major surgery, and the number of signings made during the summer reflects that. As long as we see evidence that we're moving in an upward direction, that is as much as we can hope for, especially as we have a manager is unproven at this level. It may be a year before we see the current squad at its best, and in a position to mount a serious promotion challenge. I hope that the fans and the chairman are prepared to give it the time it needs.
Webbo Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 A respectable 9th. We will win the league in 2008/09. I can't see why we'd be more likely to go up next season than this. At the end of the season there will be 3 teams relegated with huge parachute payments. Players like N'goty will be even older/retired. Any young up and coming players might be sold. The target has to be promotion, the longer we're in this league, the further backwards we will go.

Totally agree! Why not go all out for promotion but i still think we are 3 or 4 quality first team players short, especially on the left hand side. A quality left back and left winger is urgently required plus another striker and centre half.
Joe. Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 which plonker chose relegation??i knew i should never of teased that Dons fan about Mcleod.... Well it looks like three "plonkers" got it right!
Corky Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I really believe we could be champions, maybe I'm deluded, but with the right blend of fighters and quality, we could win this league. If not, then play-offs.

purpleronnie Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I'm sure all those muppets who thought we'd win the league will think we'll walk league 1.
Moreton Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 no way relegation, definatly not bottom half, definatly top half, hopoefully play-offs, automatic is optimistic No, no you're quite wrong there.
