COVENTRY CITY are trying to sign Dion Dublin for the third time since the summer. The forward could not reach an agreement with his former club in November, having chosen to join Leicester City during the close season, but Micky Adams, the Coventry manager who signed Dublin when he was in charge at Leicester, hopes that the forward will be the first of four arrivals to help the club to avoid relegation.

Coventry have lost their past five league matches and are two points outside the relegation zone. Dublin spent four years with Coventry in the 1990s, scoring 72 goals in 171 matches.

James Scowcroft has joined Ipswich Town from Leicester on loan until the end of the season. The forward spent seven years with Ipswich before leaving in a £3 million deal four years ago. “I’ve told James, ‘Hey, you’ve got to start scoring goals if you want to come back in the summer’,” Joe Royle, the Ipswich manager, said.

I don't like Dublin at all but like Scowy said we havn't got many centrebacks left, unless CL has his eyes on some...

If Dublin goes, then we'll only have Heath, Dabizas and Stearman as centrebacks...

Well if that means Stearman gets a chance, i'd be happy for us to only have them 3. Defenders are obviously on Craigs shopping list, and i'm sure he'll go and get 1 if not 2 defenders in on loan by the end of this month anyway, more so if Dublin goes, please go :(

Now that Makin's gone too, Stearman should get at least a few chances. He looks like he's the first choice backup now for right-back and might well be for the centre-back position as well

I wouldn't let Dublin go before we've got cover...
