Sparky Posted 4 August 2007 Posted 4 August 2007 22 - 0 to england after 38 mins hipkiss / farrell centre pairing looking useful at the mo
Finnegan Posted 4 August 2007 Posted 4 August 2007 Little disappointed we let you knock up that sort of score, but in all honesty if you hadn't have have knocked up a twenty odd point victory at LEAST I'd have wet myself giggling. Did you even see the team we put out? Haha. Nathan Brew? Cooper and Sweeney? Oh dears. Glad to hear Hipkiss did alright though. Like the lad.

Micky Ruddle Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 Fantastic result. Lets hope we can come up with good at the World Cup too.
Finnegan Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 yeah its true but we can only beat what was put infront of us and at least gives us a tad of hope for a decent world cup Fair, aye. It's been happening all over the world this summer. Look at the touring teams the North took down South this year, shameful really. There's no real pride in modern sport. Can you imagine telling JPR Williams or Barry John that you intend to put out a side that you know would most likely lose? I'd like to think they'd chin ya. I'd have much rather seen the best of England and the best of Wales, even if the Twickenham advantage had tipped the scales since February and you'd have reversed the result. I'd rather lose an entertaining match than watch Brian Ashton prove to Gareth Jenkins that you've got better squad depth. We knew that already. I mean if the idea was to "test" the likes of Sweeney, Cooper, Brew and co' - what exactly are they meant to prove for themselves when you put out a bunch of fowards that can't win the ball? Smacks more of "don't want to give anything away" than "let's test some players." I mean if Peel and Phillips are fit Cooper, for example, will still be third choice even if he'd had an AMAAAAZING game. How those blinkers working out for you Finners? Clear perspex blinkers, they're all the rage. It gives the appearance of ignorance to the ironically uninformed, whilst actually you're right on the ball.
Steven Posted 6 August 2007 Posted 6 August 2007 yeah its true but we can only beat what was put infront of us and at least gives us a tad of hope for a decent world cup No chance.
