filbertway Posted 3 September 2007 Posted 3 September 2007 Anyone else heard of these? Pink squares is an absolute top tune, as is our smallest adventures. Reccomended.

Mark Posted 3 September 2007 Posted 3 September 2007 Yeah they're very good, they were the only band I was impressed with on the Reading / Leeds highlights show. http://www.myspace.com/iwasacubscout

Bet they loved everybody singing to pink squares in our tent.
Lillehamring Posted 3 September 2007 Posted 3 September 2007 sounds pretty good, i mean i'm not getting all excited about them, but nice to hear something a bit different.... what are they like live?

Alright, but I think they're quite new, hopefully a few more years and they'll be louder and more conifident. Would be harsh to judge on a 1 pm gig in a half full tent though.
Finchy Posted 3 September 2007 Posted 3 September 2007 Alright, but I think they're quite new, hopefully a few more years and they'll be louder and more conifident. Would be harsh to judge on a 1 pm gig in a half full tent though. They aren't new at all they have been playing for a few years. I thought they were brilliant at Reading. The band times had been changed and this guy came out half way through the set and told them they had to get off the stage, before they had even played Pink Squares! So the lead singer said, "cheer if you want us to carry on", obviously a tent full of IWACS fans cheered and went mental. Then the guy trying to get them to piss off said "cheer if you wanna see the headline act tonight" everyone basically told him where to shove his headline act. But it makes you wonder what he expected a tent full of IWACS fans to do, agree with him and get them to get off stage so they can see The Hold Steady later? what an idiot. The lead singer said "**** your headliners" and went on to play Pink Squares and the crowd went absolutely mental. The atmosphere in the tent was electric after telling the guy to **** off, everyone in the packed tent was singing along to it. I missed Pull Tiger Tail to see them and i'm glad i did.

My mistake then, although 2 years is still quite new for a band
