ASH17LCFC Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 Good hat trick from the lad, i had my doubts when liverpool spent all that money on him but he does look a class act from what i have seen of him so far. Lita over head kick was a great attempt and would had been goal of the season easy. Who was in goal for liverpool ? Never seen him before.
Joe. Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 It was incredible how far up Torres' arse the commentator was all night. Just slightly annoying
Micky Ruddle Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 Fookin Fantastic i say. 4-2. Shoudl start week in, week out. Rafa has been nuts recently not to play him. Coulda' had four. Bikey foul. Torres down. Peno Shout. No says ref
WetFlannel Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 makes us wonder why he still isnt the starting eleven every week... bloody rafa
Lord Nibblington Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 Good work Rafa. You play Torres in those important matches!
Joe. Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 makes us wonder why he still isnt the starting eleven every week... bloody rafa I'm pretty sure Rafa rested him against Birmingham. I know it was a bad decision in hindsight but that's my theory anyway.

Lord Nibblington Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 I'm pretty sure Rafa rested him against Birmingham. I know it was a bad decision in hindsight but that's my theory anyway. He did. Just like he rested him against Portsmouth. It was to keep him fresh for the important midweek matches. You know, The Champions League and... err.. uh... The Carling Cup?
ASH17LCFC Posted 25 September 2007 Author Posted 25 September 2007 Wasn't just his goal what impressed me, was his work rate and you can tell defences hate playing against players like him. His interview after the game was really in depth
WetFlannel Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 ive always thought hes been over-rated from day one, he is known for consistently missing sitters then burying an odd good goal. However, i have been impressed with how hes eased into the liverpool team and hes certainly added a bit of class in the absence of henry... not saying hes as good though.

Torres down. Peno Shout. No says ref I had that argument with a mate of mine who is a Liverpool fan (living in London ) and far as he is concerned Rafa can do know wrong. After a great start and Torres scoring a few, he gets dropped for the league game and they draw 0-0 but when he came off the bench he almost won it for them (great overhead kick). Rafa is a great manager but a plank and should use Torres like he does Gerrard, Reina and Carragher, hardly ever rest them! Have the backbone and alter the rest of need be but he must keep Torres in and only drop him for games like tonight.

Tommeh Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 Good work Rafa. You play Torres in those important matches! Exactly, sometimes I think this guy is a trained fool. He leaves Torres out of 2 vital premier league games at Portsmouth then at home to Brum draws both 2-0 and then wonders why they arn't top of the league anymore. Not saying one man makes a team but Liverpool are not a title contending side without Torres, Gerrard or Carragher. Look at Arsenal they seem to do it the right way play their star men e.g. Fabregas and Adebayor for the vital prem matches and look where they are in the league. I hope these recent 4 points dropped will come back to haunt liverpool come what May.

Once he bags a goal and benitez is assured he can score, then he will drop him and play someone else despite it could find them momentum...
Maybes Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 I am asking myself.....why didnt I watch this game?
Koke Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 It was incredible how far up Torres' arse the commentator was all night. Just slightly annoying The arse licking was at the highest order. But yeah, he was immense tonight.
Bert Posted 25 September 2007 Posted 25 September 2007 The guy is pure class. All three goals were excellent, I'm pleased for him, that he's not a player that will be successful in one league but shite in another.
Simi Posted 27 September 2007 Posted 27 September 2007 Bentiez will fook him up rotating him I think, shame really. He looked a class above against Reading.
