Geo V Posted 1 October 2007 Posted 1 October 2007 As much as Jol seems like a great straigh talking character, I cant condone any manager spending £17m on a 4th striker in Darren Bent when he has midfielders like Taino, Zakora and Huddlestone playing. Jenas is injured and Lennon has only come back so he has excuses but the midfield 4 he played tonight was woeful and the defence were all over the shop as they usually are without Ledley King. He wont make it to Xmas and I`ll go a step further by saying i`ll be surprised if he isnt replaced during the next International break.
lookwhaticando Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 I have a huge dislike for Tottenham... it's so bad, I want teams like Portsmouth and Arsenal to beat them! So... I do hope Jol sticks around and continues this rich vein of shittiness that is so spurs... I do love a good relegation. :D I just hope they can take Fulham down with them.

Its understandable to hate certain teams(ie Man U,Liverpool,Chelsea,Leeds!) But why Spurs, especially with supersexy voice Dutchman jol in charge. You cant hate spurs with supersexy voice Dutchman Jol in charge... You just cant!
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 Jol out i say, he's spend so much money its a joke. He can't even get a team in the top four. Agree. The display v Arsenal was woeful - you don't play like that against your rivals, and at home, and get away with it. The first half v Villa was just as bad, buggering around with possession and then as soon as Villa got a hold of it, they actually did something with it. Four times. (Though to be fair Robinson stuffed the first). Tottenham is the biggest underachieving side of all time when you consider things like their fanbase and season ticket prices. Who would seriously pay up to £70 to get shite served up on a platter?
dandannieldanok Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 I don't think Jol will last until christmas, I'm sure if they hadn't scored that equaliser he could have been gone today.
lookwhaticando Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 You just cant! I can. I will. I have. Jol seems a decent chap and he has his moments, but because he manages Shitspurs, I dislike him by association. Although, if he relegates them, my respect for him will increase tenfold.
MC Prussian Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 The first one to be axed at a football club when there's a crisis looming is usually the coach - so "no".
Kent Fox Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 I think he'll be gone in the next couple of games if Spurs do not perform. They have some terrific players but they don't play as a team and Jol's fault. However, I think they will improve when King is fit again as the back needs steadying, and Pennant - is he fit? If he is then he should be playing. I'll give the Jolster 2 more defeats on the trot.
Kent Fox Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 Eh? Did you read that as though Pennant was a defender? Or something else? Jol hasn't played him much so I wondered if he was fit.
Brainy Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 Isn't he still at Liverpool? That was my thinking...
Kent Fox Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 That was my thinking... Bollocks! I meant Jermaine Defoe... What a tw@t!
Lord Nibblington Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 I can't see Spurs getting rid of Jol, without having someone 'big' to replace him. And since no one is intetrested in the job, I can't see it happening.
Kent Fox Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 He's been fit all season hasn't he? Not too sure. I heard reports that Berbatov has looked uninterested too. If so, surely that is a sign that Jol is not motivating his team. Therefore, Jol will have to go unless he can change it around. Even Robbie Keane has been quiet this season so far. Has he gone past it or is that down to a lack of service from Defoe?
Finnegan Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 I heard reports that Berbatov has looked uninterested too. Read: The Mirror claim Berbatov looks uninterested.

I dont think Jol isn't motivating. I just think Berbatov doesn't want to be at the club, he just looks that kind of player. Everything else is correct I guess.
Kent Fox Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 Read: The Mirror claim Berbatov looks uninterested. I didn't know that - I don't read it. I have a mate who is a massive Spurs fan and he has pointed it out over the last few games. I just doubt that it was Jol that motivated the team to come back like they did. I'd guess that player pride and the 'will to win' was the key. If Jol had motivated them and done his job, surely to God they would not have been that close to losing the game in the first half! I mean, it was Villa, at home. A game they should be winning. All credit to MON for finding their weaknesses and exploiting them to what should have been a cracking win. Jol out. Berbatov to Leicester. And Robbie Keane.
lookwhaticando Posted 3 October 2007 Posted 3 October 2007 He (Defoe)'s been shit all season hasn't he? Yup. He sure has.
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 3 October 2007 Posted 3 October 2007 If Milan reckons Leicester was run like a holiday camp, then Spurs must be run like an expensive brothel, where the beer is crap and you only get to see chebs.
Kent Fox Posted 3 October 2007 Posted 3 October 2007 If Milan reckons Leicester was run like a holiday camp, then Spurs must be run like an expensive brothel, where the beer is crap and you only get to see chebs. Fcuk this holiday camp - I'm off to Spurs then..
Geo V Posted 3 October 2007 Posted 3 October 2007 Fcuk this holiday camp - I'm off to Spurs then.. Make sure you go straight nto the ground and dont look in the eyes of any of the local lasses because they are amongst the most horrible looking on the planet.
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 3 October 2007 Posted 3 October 2007 Fcuk this holiday camp - I'm off to Spurs then.. But why settle for chebs when you can have a 12 hour orgy?
Kent Fox Posted 5 October 2007 Posted 5 October 2007 TalkSport today suggested that Jol might be in line for a move to Ajax.
