Wycombe Fox Posted 2 October 2007 Author Posted 2 October 2007 is that actually the isle of white in your avatar? Yes - it's Appley Beach in Ryde. About 10 minutes walk away from my house - bloody lovely!

Lillehamring Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 walshie's starting to bore me, just banging on about the 'good old days', they must tell him too, i guess.... did anyone notice that we have actually lost fewer games than wolves?
Wycombe Fox Posted 2 October 2007 Author Posted 2 October 2007 it does look nice, never been there, i'm afraid - do you feel sort of independant from england there? Yes. It's very different. Pace of life is much slower, less crime etc. My kids can play out like I was able to years ago. We've got our own micro-climate too - it's great to sit on Appley Beach in glorious sunshine and watch it p*ssing down in Portsmouth!!. Snowed once in 8 years. Very rarely get any frost. Everyone has time to talk with each other. We've been here for eight years now and have only seen trouble once in Ryde and that was 'only' a drunk flying out of a pub door!
Bryn Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 Barber is yet to mention football and Walsh just harps on about the past. Worst commentary team ever. Might stick the Wolves commentary on.
Wycombe Fox Posted 2 October 2007 Author Posted 2 October 2007 Come on CITTTYYYYYYYY!!!! We love you Leicester we do, we love you Leicester we do, we love you Leicester we do, ohhhhhhhhh Leicester we love you! 3 mins to HT - good - I need my dinner!

Wycombe Fox Posted 2 October 2007 Author Posted 2 October 2007 Boos!?!?!?!?!?! Didn't sound too bad on the commentary but you can't always tell WTF is going on with JB apart from the weather! Anybody like to see any changes (apart from JB!)?
Wycombe Fox Posted 2 October 2007 Author Posted 2 October 2007 De Vries playing for Leeds and has been booked in the first half.

Wycombe Fox Posted 2 October 2007 Author Posted 2 October 2007 Gerrard trained as normal today? What? As opposed to whilst wearing plastic glasses and moustache and a Tam'o'Shanter with ginger hair sticking out the back?? Go on - just get the image in your head!

Wycombe Fox Posted 2 October 2007 Author Posted 2 October 2007 Thanks Cardiff - we've just moved up a couple of places!
Lord Nibblington Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 Training ground stuff. Megson's Pro Licence not going to waste, evidently. Indeed. And those who accuse Megson of being defensive, just look back over that passage of play, and see how often we had attacking throw ins. Must be a joy to watch.
