Guest Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 I cant believe they let Raj in? I know, but he does behave himself, honest.
lcfc_jme Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 LH asked what the Clubs position was on safe standing at the Walkers Stadium.
Guest Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 LH asked what the Clubs position was on safe standing at the Walkers Stadium. Just to keep the issue running, of course.....
Geo V Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 I know, but he does behave himself, honest. Its nice to see the club invite someone to represent the minority groups, but it was a bit of clever planning to bring in someone who knows nothing about football who would not be able to ask any challenging questions

Geo V Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 Its a sure fire thing that Raj will sign on later and then send me an abusive PM later .
lcfc_jme Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 Just to keep the issue running, of course..... Thanks It's encouraging to hear that the club have said they are willing to "work with individuals and organisations to explore opportunities". Did they give you the impression they would be prepared to have dialogue with groups such as SUSD or the FSF on the matter? Interesting also to note that they haven't completely shot the idea of Safe Standing down should there be any progress on debates/regulations etc. I'm worried to read that TD is going to speak to the Chief Exec at Forest about their stewards, yet it is implied our stewards are behaving fine even though they pick on vulnerable fans just the same as the stewards at Forest supposedly did.

Bellend Sebastian Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 It's a relief to know that there are some vaguely sensible people putting the views of fans to the club, so thanks to those of you that make the effort to go to these

I think that they are prepared to listen, but still don't want to put their heads too far above the parapet yet (like with the proposed event with SUSD last season). It's a topic that I want to see remain on the agenda, and in their faces, and have already some plans in place for that. Until a club actually comes out and says "sod the ground regulations".... The stewarding hasn't really been an issue where I sit, but I do know that they could do with exercising some common sense, and perhaps following the procedures that they have in place wouldn't go amiss. Anyway, they're not stewards anymore, they've changed their names (and like a plank, I've forgotten it!). It's a relief to know that there are some vaguely sensible people putting the views of fans to the club, so thanks to those of you that make the effort to go to these Hmm, shame some of those on other forums don't think like that....
Zingari Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 I cant believe they let Raj in? is raj the same "raj kumar" who lives at no. 42 , and is on the telly a lot

Fox in a Box Posted 9 October 2007 Posted 9 October 2007 For anyone who is interested, here are the minutes from the last meeting. very interesting!!
davieG Posted 9 October 2007 Posted 9 October 2007 Sounds like everyone is ecstatic! Perhaps there is no longer any need for the forum. Prices are good Food is good and cheap The manager's good (for another couple of weeks) MM says so Notts Forest stewards are worse than ours so ours must be great We've learnt how to draw at home and win away, different but what the heck it's still points Oh I forgot about someone smoking in the bogs, it must be like attending the School Forum
Simi Posted 9 October 2007 Posted 9 October 2007 I think that they are prepared to listen, but still don't want to put their heads too far above the parapet yet (like with the proposed event with SUSD last season). It's a topic that I want to see remain on the agenda, and in their faces, and have already some plans in place for that. Until a club actually comes out and says "sod the ground regulations".... Thanks for putting it out there again. I've been reading on StandUpSitDown that they might be looking into getting a sponsor, Ray Wilkins was mentioned, as he's been in the media recently saying he prefers standing. Something like this would be great. I'm positive it would help build momentum and that others with similar thinking would get involved. As I've said a lot of times, all it takes is one club, with a decent reputation to come out and back the ideas and things should move forward.
