S1DDO Posted 9 October 2007 Posted 9 October 2007 Does anyone know what the highest number of players (who have come through the academy) we've ever had play in in a first team game? When was it and who was it against?

Thracian Posted 9 October 2007 Posted 9 October 2007 Does anyone know what the highest number of players (who have come through the academy) we've ever had play in in a first team game? When was it and who was it against? Might be the five against Macclesfield in the home cup win last season: Logan, Porter, Wesolowski, O'Grady, Stearman. But Manwell's sure to know.
Ric Flair Posted 9 October 2007 Posted 9 October 2007 I think Sunderland away last season had a fair few in as well.
Manwell Pablo Posted 9 October 2007 Posted 9 October 2007 Might be the five against Macclesfield in the home cup win last season: Logan, Porter, Wesolowski, O'Grady, Stearman. But Manwell's sure to know. I can't think of an occasion when we've had more play. Unless we start going back years and years. EDIT: Forest last day of the season before they went down from the prem maybe? We had alot of youths out that game.
JoeyB Posted 9 October 2007 Posted 9 October 2007 Cue thracian! Can anybody remember forest a few season ago, when tommy wright scored the winner. Didnt that have a fair few academy players init
Stuliasz Posted 9 October 2007 Posted 9 October 2007 I remember one of the Premiership games at home to West Ham, we played a lot of youngsters that day including Danny Thomas and Tommy Goodwin - the latter of the two being asked to mark Paolo di Canio. Jordan Stewart might have played then too.
