Had the cars not failed in China and in Brazil on him, it could have been a COMPLETELY different story and he would have won the title I'm sure.

While understandable from Ferrari's point of view (especially after the "spying" row), it did the sport a great disservice, and means that this championship crown will be irredeemably tarnished. Ultimately that was all that denied Hamilton the glory of a world title in his first season. Let's hope his time will come sooner, rather than later...

Alonso has as many hard luck stories to tell over the season as Hamilton, perhaps more. If McLaren had given him the same backing as Ferrari gave Raikkonen, maybe he'd have retained the title.

Not only because he's sitting at home or wherever thinking he's world champion, but also because I just applied for username change. All I can see happening is maybe Williams and BMW being stripped of constructors points.

I'm really not sure who wields the ultimate power in F1 but I would'nt be surprised to find all sorts of dark forces pulling the strings.
