Ricey Posted 2 March 2005 Posted 2 March 2005 Back on topic... Why is eveyone pissed off JJB will make our kits next season? Who cares who make our kits aslong as they look nice, we could get our kits made by Nike but the reason teams like Grimsby and Scarbrough have their kits made by them isn't because Nike have offered them tons of money to put their logo on the shirt......a couple of years back loads of conference teams kits were made by Nike, that was because they brought those kits. Having JJB onboard will allow is to distribute our merchandise better and it will be available around the country, we will make more money because of this deal. Lets not slag off the kit before we've even seen it.
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 2 March 2005 Posted 2 March 2005 jonbluefox, how many goals have your strikers scored put together this season??
MADLEVEIN Posted 2 March 2005 Posted 2 March 2005 by jjb doing this = more money to wigan athletic once again, thanks for letting dave do this 73155 you'll need it, weve been to where you might go ( prem ) alot more than you in recent times and that sinking felling will happen within the first ten games. jjb, le coq, umbro, nike or addidas who gives a flying #### whoever wants to give us dough to play in their kit then let them and as for wigan making money out of us, sureley they should be questioning why us , 18 place, not them ..........obvious reason we will sell ten/fifteen thousand more shirts.

Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 2 March 2005 Posted 2 March 2005 madleivein, this is the first time jjb have actually made kits patrick, who make our kits, is owned by.... yes, dave whelan so you're theory fell flat on its face then eh i seriously doubt we need the money whelan has promised 40m in transfer funds if we go up

If not, having some merchandise sold in selected JJB's in Leicestershire is still better than what we have now.

Phil Posted 2 March 2005 Posted 2 March 2005 madleivein, this is the first time jjb have actually made kitspatrick, who make our kits, is owned by.... yes, dave whelan so you're theory fell flat on its face then eh i seriously doubt we need the money whelan has promised 40m in transfer funds if we go up 73308 If you go up and he pumps 40mil in and you get relegated I'd like to see him pull out that'd tech you trying buy yourselves up the league
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 2 March 2005 Posted 2 March 2005 why would he pull out if we got relegated ?
Jonbluefox9 Posted 2 March 2005 Posted 2 March 2005 jonbluefox, how many goals have your strikers scored put together this season?? 73270 Not many but heading onto the post from five yards out with half the goal unguarded is comical all the same don't you think?
Foxes_Trust Posted 2 March 2005 Posted 2 March 2005 Were the fans consulted on this one if so another great job by the foxes trust! 73042 No the fans were not consulted Have a read of the article on our website about the last Fans Forum which will appear near lunchtime on Thursday

Guest Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 lisa, as i've said, it works both waysbut of course by us sponsering you is just another way for dave whelan to make more money! he's not doing this to lose money now is he? 73168 I doubt you'd make a lot of money through selling kits. If that was the case, why have Whelan's stores been selling the England kit at half the RRP almost immediately after it was released? I can't see JJB selling City shirts by the truckload, as I would imagine most fans would still buy from the club shop. As for Whelan's money, does he really plough all of his hard earned cash into your team? Any profit he makes on the back of this is more likely to pay for his next car, not a new player for Wigan Athletic. As pointed out already (sorry, can't remember who did), why is he doing this deal with a side sitting in the bottom half of the Championship, and not his own club who are trying to get into the Premiership?
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 3 March 2005 Posted 3 March 2005 ha, you wish madleiven, he's a wiganer through and through ''As pointed out already (sorry, can't remember who did), why is he doing this deal with a side sitting in the bottom half of the Championship, and not his own club who are trying to get into the Premiership?'' because you're an easy target, desperate and daft enough! adidas used to make our kits, but whelan fell out with them and so patrick (who are much better than jjb at kit making) now make our kits what am i talking about, this is jjb's first attempt to make kits, he's only experimenting! oh, and whelan owns patrick as well, so unlucky ''As for Whelan's money, does he really plough all of his hard earned cash into your team?'' eeeerm, where do you think our excellent stadium came from? where do you think our class training set up came from? where do you think the money to buy the class players in our team came from? hhhhhm
Simon Posted 3 March 2005 Author Posted 3 March 2005 article now posted as promisedhttp://www.foxestrust.com/html/modules.php...article&sid=407 73594 good read 73595 I know this is off topic but according to the article Stephen Dawson is out of contract? Is this right?
