Thracian Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 MK Dons would love us nicking another of there managers!!! We'd only be borrowing. They could probably have him back at Christmas!
mancunianfox Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 I always said we should've stuck with Worthington. Worthington was rubbish. Did nothing at all to improve our home form.
lookwhaticando Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 We'd only be borrowing. They could probably have him back at Christmas! A football manager is for life, not just for Christmas. Worthington was rubbish. Did nothing at all to improve our home form. But we did win a couple of away games... which was nice.
Thracian Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 Worthington was rubbish. Did nothing at all to improve our home form. Sounds like the sort we go for!
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 There is not a single manager that we can attract that would salvage our season. Its about time they stopped feeding us the bullshit of promotion because we can't hold our own in our own league let alone against Premiership teams every week. Yet we can hold our own against Villa & Chelsea---------------you see we're NOT a lost cause ----------- with the RIGHT man it could be done.
teblin Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 Worthington was rubbish. Did nothing at all to improve our home form. Ireckon we'd have had a better team if he signed the players in the summer.
STUHILL Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 Well I can definately see why Manderic is taking his time if Ince is one of the applicants. It is a very tough decision. I've never liked Ince, but that's what probably makes me thinking he could do it for us, even more of a statement. Part of me prefers the excitement of having a relatively new, exciting, up and coming manager from lower leagues who has a good playing history and possible contacts. As opposed to the old, tried and tested, granted achieved some success at one point or another but also accompanied with a failure(s). I'm just thinking back to when we first appointed Allen, and the buzz and excitement from the club and supporters, compared to the appointment of Megson and the instant groan and negativity. Appointing Ince would surely mean a new wave of excitement and possibilities. I guess it's the 'Unknown' factor that I like.
mancunianfox Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 Ireckon we'd have had a better team if he signed the players in the summer. Perhaps, but you could also say we would have had a better team if Rob Kelly had bought players over the summer. It would mean exactly the same thing because both would be hypothetical statements. The fact is that Worthington didn't really do anything to stake a claim to the job.
Simi Posted 13 November 2007 Posted 13 November 2007 If mando wanted ince he would have had him in the summer. Bloody turnstile men. He did. He failed.
